- I had to review this show after watching this past episode of Tamar and Vince. When WeTV announced that this 5th season of Tamar & Vince would be full of drama, they were not lying. Tamar and Vince have some serious issues to work out. As a viewer I felt like I had to say something about this particular episode.

Enunciation 101 - ProBLEM...yes I know folks lol. That's a bad habit of mine. And I know a lot of people disagree with me for putting the blame on Vince. I was just breaking down some of the things that I observed from this particular episode. Honestly, both Vince and Tamar are equally responsible for the tension in their marriage, which is why I said they need to work on communicating better.

Well I agree with Vince being more the bad guy then she. He picks, preaches and disrespects her continually. In one episode few seasons ago he pulls a Spanish looking girl into their argument and literally while trying to prove his point about what's disrespectful was being fully disrespectful to this unsuspecting woman while throwing his arms around the I guess cabana girl. He is nuts and Tamar is just who she is-
I think Vince is the actual bullly....just watch season 1 again. He will talk down to her infront of kids! Imo..the most disgusting thing he did was after Tamar gave birth, he took Logan out of the car and just left Tamar to take the bags. I hated him after that!

"Velcro" is a term they've always used to describe each other & glorify the fact that they're always together.. (in the past). Then Tamar realized it isn't the best thing, in which she tried to explain to Vince. Velcro doesn't mean you don't love them, just that you need time to miss them.
Val Riley sometimes your significant other can be smothering. And you're not saying that you don't love them when you say you need some space, for this is the exact reason why you're not supposed to make no man or no woman your whole world you have to have an outlet, because if you don't, you will get on each other's nerves😩.

In the scene where she tells him he's going to be exposed, I believe that is why she spoke about her marriage in front of her friends. I believe she purposely wanted people to hear and see how he treats her. Its a call for help from what Im discerning.

Tamar’s complaints about Vince’s management sounds a lot like Toni’s complaints. Toni decided to drop him as a manager, and Tamar almost scolded Toni for having expectations of her manager (Vince) that were unrealistic. Now, Tamar has the same complaints!!
If a man has no respect for you not just when your alone but also in front of your own freinds &/or family then you need to get out.
I was waiting for some comedic relief the whole time. It never came. So uncomfortable to watch! Tamar isn't always innocent but Vince is a miserable so and so. I wonder if he deliberately tried to sabotage her career, out of spite. He's made too many sloppy mistakes with her shows etc.

I was shocked too! I never knew Vince was as emotionally manipulative and abusive as he exposed himself to be in this episode! He always gaslights Tamar and diminishes any concerns she has while always portraying her as crazy.
Tamar is no angel, but Vince's true colors are really showing this season. Even when Tamar is calm, he says really mean things to her. The comment about her head getting too big because she sold out a venue was uncalled for and abusive. Why would you not your wife to know that she is commercially successful?
Her only mistake was to discuss their issues in front of their friends and also that she brought them on what was supposed to be a family vacation. But after watching this episode, I understand why Tamar did that.
Vince is very distant emotionally and he isolates Tamar emotionally by constant dismissing how she feels. He literally shuts off and it feels like talking to a wall, which leaves Tamar no other choice than opening up her friends, because they are the only outlet she has to express her feelings. I'm glad she filed for divorce, they're not good for each other anymore!

But calm is one thing she is NOT, but I don’t think she is the only problem in this relationship. I think Vince has been a bigger problem than editing has shown and since he is an executive producer on both shows it explains why they will always try and show her in a bad light, but never show his true colors. I think Tamar is wonderful, transparent, and a beautiful person. But it’s about time that Vince is judge for who he REALLY is.

Tamar *NEVER* got dropped from her Epic Records label, she said on The Breakfast Club Vince thought it was better to WALK AWAY from the label because they do everything on their own anyway.
THATS the problem with him leaving her in the dark about her career. Vince and the label has to AGREE on a date (with tamar) in which they did initially. When they changed it they didn't tell her. Of course you can't control when others change their release date, however they're still in the wrong for not involving her. He would NEVER do that to any of his other artists.
I wholeheartedly agree lack of communication is the biggest crack in their relationship! There was a scene when they finally sat outside, talked and actually *LISTENED* to each other to try & hash things out.. it was so refreshing to see! Communication is vital in every relationship (family, friends, lovers) 🔑

Yet, Vince did not -- (I REPEAT) DID NOT -- tell Tamar that he wasn't down for the friends to tag along. Tamar asked him, quote "What do you think about going on a ((FRIENDS AND FAMILY TRIP))?" unquote. He just sat there, hand on his head, nodding his head, staring off into space. Vince is very narcistic and manipulative. She can't vent to him, because he shuts her down, and makes everything her fault. So, yes, she did ask in an open setting. He is showing all the signs of a man with a side chick.
As far as the business part, he isn't any good in that area either. He sabotage her set, by not instructing ppl to bring the dancers out. He doesn't let her ask questions about what's going on with sales, ratings, etc etc.

You made an error. Vince wasn't the one who told her she had an interview. She was in her dressing room and was told by someone else. She had to call Vince after she got that piece of news to ask him what was she to do when she has interviewers waiting and she has a show in half an hour.

Did you catch in the dressing room scene Vince tried to shut that door and Tamar said no do what you gotta do on camera? Vince was about to go smooth off on her but when he couldn't do it behind closed doors he left and cussed out the camera man. He has been talking to her crazy since season 1. Nothin new. Just go back and watch. Tamar is a big personality but Vince is a big asshole.

WE ALL KNOW TAMAR WAS NOT BEING RUDE AT THAT TABLE. IF SHE WOULD HAVE TOLD HIM THAT ALONE HE WOULD HAVE HIT HER.
This was a very good analogy on what the Herbert-Braxtons have going on in their complicated business/marriage/divorce. I wholeheartedly agree that COMMUNICATION is one of the worst problems the two of them have (had) at this point.
I, like many others, originally thought that the divorce was all a publicity stunt... before seeing these episodes. On the one hand I feel as though this whole season from Tamar's standpoint was a "ploy" to expose Vince. And while Vince certainly has a lot to be exposed--adult temper tantrums, being verbally abusive of his spouse, and being a lousy husband-ger, as Tamar so elegantly put it, but Tamar has her own faults as well. Notwithstanding the fact that it now COULD appear to SOME (self included) that she used Vince to get what she wanted (a leg up in the music industry) and now that she has excelled in that she no longer needs him, but this season Tamar appears to really be "coming for" Vince and throwing "shade" all over the place. She is exposing him for all of his faults, and putting him in a place where people can see that it is not all her. And I can say it's working... at least with me anyway. There was a time when I couldn't stand #Tamar and her big mouth and bratty over-the-top attitude. But now... I can actually relate... and in a sense, UNDERSTAND her pain.
It also appears Tamar's friends are smack dab in the middle of it. Their "friends" know waaay too much about Tamar and Vince's personal business and Tamar will bring up ANYthing in front of them. That's a PROBLEM.
I think if each of them, Vince and Tamar, would get out of their own heads and hear what each other's concerns are, they might have (had) half a chance of saving their marriage.
Also Tamar is at that age/stage in her life that many women go through... when they just become allergic to bull crap. The more crap you throw at them, the more vocal/petty they become... and eventually they just want out.
This new #Tamar... I'm still on the fence about her... but I think I like her better. She appears more human... more #REAL. I guess we will see what the future holds for her.

I have never really been a Tamar fan but the reason behind her behavior is starting to make sense. I think that Tamar brings her friends around for protection from Vince. They have a very emotionally and physically abusive relationship. I know more is going to come out about Vince’s behavior towards her.
Tamar knows how Vince is/was. She knows his issues stemming from his parents deaths. These issues and being velcroed weren't problems when she tried to get her career popping! It wasn't a problem, when she was throwing her "great" relationship in her sisters' faces. Being that she has her own insecurities, she taught she had a ugly dude with low self-esteem that would anything for her (remember last season of BFV).
Now...Vince always appeared passive aggressive in their relationship. In past seasons, Vince always did little sneaky ish, to mess with Tamar's career. Then when Tamar calls him out he's gets pissed. Now Vince dropped that weight he acting up and out a little more. It's not benefitting Tamar at all.
At the end of the day Tamar is lethal with her mouth, but is sensitive af! Vince is a passive aggressive manipulator. These two have always had awkward fights in front of their friends. This episode showed how they really get down.
BTW: y’all forgot the episode “crazy for Cabo “? Vince CHARGED at Tamar and Lashawn Daniels had to stop Vince from doing something to her !

I think Tamar’s Discussion at dinner was very disrespectful. She basically dissed their relationship in front of everyone. It also want cool that she brought her friends on a trip that could’ve been s fun family getaway. I know there’s tension but that only made it thicker.
Jamaal Rainey if he didn't want her to bring her friends he could have told her that when she asked his permission for the trip but he said nothing and allowed them to come. So that, in all actuality, is his fault for not speaking up. And, as for that dinner conversation, she wasn't disrespectful. If anything he missed the whole point because he wasn't listening and he got in his feelings. All she wanted them to do is grow as a married couple together. Not just one of them grow and the other stay stagnant. And that velcro comment was justifed because NO COUPLE should be together 24/7. It's not healthy. Their situation is different either way because he is so intermingled into her personal and professional life but they needed a separation of the careers and that is all she was saying. Nothing more. He was the one talking about she wanted their love to change and thinking she wants a divorce when that was the farthest from her mind

Yeah I can't watch their show...it's too much. And I noticed problems between them a long time ago.
One thing, maybe I need to do my research, however I thought Tamar stated that Vince took her from the label and started their own label, not that she was actually dropped by the label but that Vince simply made the ultimate decision to take away from Epic Records. I think she stated that she did not want to leave the label, but Vince made the decision on his own without her consent.
They are in an abusive relationship. Tamar being human needs to express herself- therefore she opt to use a safer environment to express herself. Vince is very controlling and he can no longer hide it when they are in the presence of others.
I only saw the 1st episode of this season's T&V, but it sounds like it's getting real .

You nailed it on every level. You really and truly did!! Tamar is definitely a handful but Vince has finally been exposed as the arrogant controlling abusive jerk he can sometimes be. He worked hard to create a facade that had him coming off looking like a long suffering, quiet, laid back, rational, patient, saintly husband who was also a devoted Christian but sadly I see very clearly all the pettiness and jealousy that’s a far bigger part of his personality than he ever wanted anyone to see. Tamar has put up with a very oppressive and controlling man for a very long time.

However I do agree that Vince has a horrible way in interacting with Ms Tamar ,yes she has her in expressing herself that can be a little too much Vince has been like this before Him being sued!! By Sony So noo excuse .He likes to do things to ruffle her feathers and when she wings back then he pout like a Biggg Baby They both need prayer and counseling.

I really like Tamar and I truly believe that underneath the sometimes over the top behavior is a really sweet person!! I'm not a person who always sides with the woman because I'm a woman, but I do believe Vince carries more of the blame because he's okay with the verbal abuse and he seems to have very little respect for her as a woman, his wife and his client. Respect is everything!! When you're in a relationship with someone who doesn't respect you - that relationship will fail.
