The problem with you is you're no different from the younger nba fans, you're just older. People stay looking at Accolades and falling for that half truth instead of the full truth. Kevin Garnett was always the better PF. He just didn't have the proper supporting cast. If he had he'd be up there with Tim Duncan, if not better. He was unguardable from the paint and the mid range. Not to mention a better tenacious defender and more importantly, a better free-throw shooter than both, Tim Duncan and Shaq. The Lakers won against the T.Wolves because KG didn't have the supporting cast unlike the Spurs. But in the game's, they had no answer for Kevin Garnett, who was truly the best power forward.

@@younglove3362 Duncan has better career per game stats than Garnett in almost every category, more pts, more rebounds, better eFG%, more FTs made, more blocks. Garnett shot a better FT% and had more steals, that's about it. I do agree he was a better defender, but he wasn't the offensive player that Duncan was. He was a true PF though, Duncan is really more of a center in my mind at least.

@@younglove3362 in 2003, Robinson is old and Parker is a sophomore, and Manu is a rookie so no. Duncan is incredible plus you forgot that Phil Jackson is a coach in that series and had way more experience than Pop at that time, so coaching is not the problem.
Just that Duncan is like Hakeem prototype modern big who can score in the paint, pass ( very important) , handles the ball, defend and score in the ( perimeter) midrange .

@@paquinraino8180 once again, small minds couldn't see the picture. Manu came out the gates, Robinson was old but a veteran presence, Parker wasn't a super star but a damn good role player, pop was always a better coach than Phil, just didn't have as good a team. Bowen was shooting lights out, especially against the Lakers. Stop with the excuses ✋️. Duncan was utilized correctly in the aspect of needing to be double teamed like Shaq. If anything, Kevin Garnett was a bigger threat than Duncan if you had seen the first round of the Lakers where they couldn't even triple team his fade away shot. They won because he didn't have as good a line up as the Spurs. Once again, Stop! Kerr even came through big on this team.
P.S. I know Duncan is a great big man but don't compare him to Hakeem. Two completely different levels where Duncan is inferior.

@@tboss8157 yeah, to the small minds it's disrespectful. Anyone watching 👀 the Spurs and the Lakers play already knew Greg PoP was a better coach than Phil. Ginobili was the while, or Argentinian, boy that was driving it in on anyone in the paint, whereas most would have been scared of Shaq. The Spur always gave the Lakers a hard time but the year prior, you saw 👀 the improvements the Spurs made, whereas the Lakers didn't make any adjustments. There's a reason why the Spurs outright swept the Lakers during the season. Less is more, pop understood this more than anyone. That's why he gunned for Duncan. Also, had you watched 👀 during this Era, you'd know that the competition was basically whoever won in the West. Once the Spurs beat the Lakers, which was not shocking, everyone knew that the Spurs were going to beat the Mavericks and win it all afterwards. Stop it 🛑

This could have been the Lakers closing out the Spurs, but Horry missed a game winning 3 in Game 5. I knew back then that the Spurs were the better team. Lakers bench of Slava, Pargo, and Madsen wasn't going to cut it. Spurs had Steven Jackson, Manu, and a young Tony Parker. I'm surprise how active Shaq is on defense in this game.
