Did you manage to hear these driven conventionally via preamp and not wireless? Others have said they sound better this way. Although you loose the room correction. Any thoughts?
If you use a Wiim Ultra they have room correction. I’ve heard too many horror stories about the wireless platin hub so I’m planning on connecting mine when they arrive to the Wiim via XLR to RCA cables. This will solve the dropouts and other technical issues associated with the platin hub.
Trade offs when you talk about bass. These really are special. Every one who reviews this mighty lil’ speaker brags about its out put. Yes it punches above in that regard. I don’t think that this factor should be its selling feature .
Thanks for the video and the t-shirt. I had to get one. The speakers look awesome especially the woofer. Love the shaggy look. Scooby Doo! Wish they had a passive pair. I’ve had bad experiences with powered speakers and have connected with others that have too. I’ll jump back in at that price when they come up with a 5-10 year warranty on electronics. 2-4 year warranties tell you what the company expects and stands behind. They made the speaker- who knows better than them. If you’re an electrician or electrical engineer it may make sense to you. In addition I’m trying to balance my purchases and purchasing power. Buying from both US and outside the US based companies and both brick and mortar stores and online. Think globally and act locally. Rock on!
You mentioned that these speakers have Burr-Brown DACs inside of them. I haven't been able to confirm that anywhere else. I did see that a PowerDAC was mentioned to be present in these speakers. Could you please confirm which DAC is inside of these speakers?
How did these do at lower volumes?

The manufacturer told me they were burr brown, I’ll ask which one ;)
