- Post-Match Pint after Celtic 4-0 Rangers as the Hoops blew away their Glasgow rivals at Celtic Park. A double from Liel Abada and goals from Jota and Turnbull rounded off what was an excellent afternoon's work from Postecoglou's side.

A struggle getting up at 7:00 am to watch the game from Hamilton, Ontario. But it was worth it. Great see Turnbull get his first goal against them. Wishaw was my hometown prior to emmigrating over here in 1980 so special shootout to David.
Hope you enjoyed the game! Early start but worth it. Were the bars open in Hamilton? My brother lived there and I visited the place 15 years ago.

Wishaw was my hometown too. Moving to Ontario was a good choice mate. Our area Wishaw/Motherwell has produced a few Celtic players. Turnbull, Tierney, Stephen Pearson, John Kennedy and the best of all....Tommy Gemmell!!

Giakoumakis and Goldson got the same punishment at the end one for cynically tripping up a player and one for moaning at the ref .very fair ! As for Lundstram he's just a hatchet man who seems to have his own rules with the refs I've got no doubt he left a bit in on Kyogo who does he think he is Graeme Souness?
His job is quite simply to kick the good players. Absolute thug.
This game and the Scottish cup semifinal last season saw us manhandled and kicked all over the park with little to no protection from the two Hun referees. Why does your board just sit back and take this crap , why don't they cite the refs n question and demand that they do not referee Celtic in the future. If Rangers can do it ! Why not us.
Clugger Lundstrum targetted Kyogo ; it was his 'challenge' that caused the wee man's injury. The man's a thug and should have walked . Agree with Kenny , best Celtic squad for decades .
Said that would happen before a ball was kicked. They can't match us in any area of the pitch and thuggish tactics was their only way.

The only weakness we have in our squad is the strikers. If either Kyogo or GG get injured we don't have a backup striker of the same calibre on the bench. We basically need to go to Maeda or Abada as back up striker.
In the past I'd have more than settled for Abada as our main striker!

On Abada, the timing of his runs is superb. He just has the instinct, he knows when to go and where to run. I reckon you have to be born with that!
You're dead right! I'll never forget his goal in Celtic's 3-0 win against Rangers last season when he ran from way outside the box on to a centred ball and smashed a goal. He beat 3 Rangers defenders who were spectating.

Had a tough day here in the USA, my MLB baseball team and college football team both got creamed but Celtic came through and decimated the Rangers and put a smile on my face! GO CELTIC!! Drink a pint for me guys, what a stellar result from a super team!
Turnbull was very cute for his goal if you watch it back again he makes a false run at the correct time and mcglaughlin tried to pass by him but david outstretched his leg and controlled the ball instantly one more touch and finish , now thats what you call switched on even for a sub......HH
Even when Turnbull recieved the ball he still had a bit to do involving his first touch then sliding the ball home.

Jock Stein managed leeds for a while. Myb history might repeat it self.
I was 14 when big Jock took over the team. The day Celtic beat Dunfermline in the Scottish cup final in 1965 started my love for the club. Big Ange has similar bearing to Stein and may be even a more intelligent shrewd manager. However no one can match big Jocks record of winning every tournament he entered in the Same season.

As bad as it was seeing Kyogo go off so early, never had any doubts about Giakoumakis coming up against their defence. GG is as much of a bully as he is prolific. They could not live with us. Superb performance from all the team.

Things we learned:
Juranovic is better than Tavernier. I've been a fan of his all along, but up until today, I didn't think JJ was quite as good. Thankfully, I was mistaken.
Jenz is a better running mate for CCV than is Starfelt. I like Carl. He's more than serviceable. But Moritz is far better.
Whatever the market assigns to O'Riley's value, his value to Celtic is double.
Celtic may very well not beat RM on Tuesday, but if I were they, I wouldn't feel assured of victory either.
However good we were convinced our manager was before today, he's much better.

It's a fact that Gordon Strachan's team is the best since Jock Stein in terms of achievements. That's the standards this team have to reach. Rogers tried and failed. Lennon got close and did reach the last 16. Strachan also won 3 out of 4 titles against good Rangers sides.
Agree Strachan did well in Europe but my god his team was boring as fuck to watch. Jo where near as exciting as this team. Also for 3 of those seasons under Strachs, Rangers were pish
@@deedeec1306 I have to take you to task on that. He beat the Rangers side that beat O'Neill's Celtic whilst cutting down the wage budget and also a Rangers team that also made the last 16 of the CL.

Great result & it’s a fantastic time to be a Celtic fan. As for how good we really are, we’ll find out in the upcoming Champions League games. If we can get out of our group, it will be fantastic & bear in mind we’ll be taking on teams with massive budgets. Ange is doing a remarkable job..🍀🍀💚

Im not so sure. I think they were lookin fir a breather at times because of the pace of our play and got caught out. If they try and match us fir intensity in next game it will cause them other problems. They dont have the players to many old guys.
