Good job! Hard to navigate massive fields even for a small cash. I played poker for a living for 5 years but burned out. Actually considering playing the 5k, senior event at wsop this year which would be my third tournament in 12 years. I cashed in the prior two. Hmmm.

Yep, screw Maurice Hawkins. Easily a top 10 dbag in poker.
the money bubble depends on a few things...
1. Number of players (the more players there are the quicker the burst rate.)
2. Level time (the less time per level the quicker the burst rate.)
3. Min cash amount. (the higher the min cash the quicker the burst rate.)
4. Buy-in amount. (the lower the buy-in the quicker the burst rate.)
Now to explain the whys.
1. The more people there are the more hands are being played the greater the chance of a player busting.
2. If the levels are 30 mins then it causes players to play more marginal hands when they are low on chips.
3. If the min-cash amount is higher then players are more likely to play marginal hands because their cash is in "good-enough" profit.
4. the lower the buy-in the more likely players will play marginal hands because a loss at a lower buy-in doesnt hurt as bad.
These are just my opinions I could be wrong.

I think showing the camera your hand in the A4o vs 66 hand was a bit of a tell, the guy called pretty quickly after that. If you'd show a monster too then I guess that works but he may have read it as weak.

I think the bubble with fewer players typically takes longer, just because there is a higher probability of players busting when the field is larger. Its also harder to know where you stand with the chip stacks so a lot of players may mess up ICM because of that

It must depend on the point of which they decide to play hand-for-hand. If a small field decide to go to hand-by-hand with 3 people to bust across e.g. 10 tables it will take forever - but if the decision is to go to hand-for-hand with 3 to bust in a field of 100 tables, then it will be much much faster - so, what is the ratio between number of tables and the number of people to bust. That should determine the duration, right?

More players in a field takes less time to break a money bubble. An example: 10 players until the bubble, one tournament with 5000 starters and the other with 1000. More players per unit time will bust in the tourney with the larger field.

100 big blinds at 4k big blind is 400,000....if you have about 100k it would be more like 25 big blinds.

What ace is checking the flop on the QcJc board? AQ (should open pre), suited A6 from late? I’d be more worried about a turned set of 6s. You could lead for 1/4 pot on turn, and if your raised you still might be in the vicinity of correct odds with 15 outs vs naked ace or 8 outs vs 666. Haven’t finished the hand or video yet. Let’s see how you finish.
Got it so you got thin value on end when the ace hit. Perhaps you missed a street of value? Or perhaps you got the max? Betting 1/4 pot on turn might be good in this scenario. Good job with the thin value.

For the bubble discussion mathematically speaking it is the same no matter the size of the field. However with a bigger field there are more hands that need to happen in the hand for hand stage. The other variable is just plain luck in that does the person sitting there with 5bb double up? Do the aces hold?

More players only mean that more people will make it the day two. It does not mean that it would take longer to reach the money bubble. It would be the same. Lexy is correct.

15% math, In theory, you're right Lexy, People should bust at the same rate no matter how many people in the tourney, and the rate being a % of the # of players, it should be a constant. However, with more people, there'll be more overhead (tables closing and redistributing, people getting moved from 1 table to another, etc) This will slow down the rate of busting. Thus, it should take longer to bust more players. I think Bob's right. What was the actual results? Same time both days? 10k BB both days?
