Sun Tou Tou is an orphan in her twenties. One day, she gets into trouble while fighting injustice. Ren Xin Zheng, a professor at the University of Chinese Medicine, comes to her aid and learns her life story. Professor Ren accepts her into the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) course to give her a fresh start in life. Sun Tou Tou accepts the challenge to learn under Ren Xin Zheng and eventually inherits his family's TCM practice.
Professor Ren's son, Tian Zhen, is a classmate she dislikes for causing her some difficulties. The quest of gaining knowledge is challenging enough without the added generation gap between students and lecturers. Maturing, she persists and finds herself taken with traditional medicine.
Tou Tou and Tian Zhen become closer as they learn to understand and empathize with each other. Tou Tou, her classmates, and their lecturers can now begin to follow their dreams.

The feelings of not being understood by anyone, family members not giving mental support are too heavy to carry.The pain of struggling with mental illness is too intense.Thanks to the makers of this drama for trying to raise awareness about mental health. And those who will read my comment and don't know about mental illnesses, please know them. Because I think it is a life skill. You would be able to help yourself and the people around you. Like me your loved ones won't be alone in spite of living in a large family.

@amatullahzakirhussain9357 I think because parent was too busy with buiness to care for meng meng and her mental health. So, meng meng dealt it with boy relationships. But parent found out and make her illness worse by shaming her about her relationships and make her think meng meng commit a crime.

Not everyone is supposed to be fathers or mothers, yet there are so many children born into this world. Having money or a status doesn’t give you a right to be a parent. Love, comprehension, and compassion is what children want from their parents.
Sometimes parents expect too much and child become soo much depressed because they cannot fullfil their expectations and wishes😢😢😢
This episode was so artistically beautiful. The way they portrayed meng meng's death through the flower crushing was just amazing. Also the entire toutou-tianzhen part in this episode is just my favourite of all. The director, creative producers deserve huge props for this drama.

I'll miss Meng Meng I didn't expect her death but she gave us a deep story to understand she was amazing in her acting I hope we can see her in many cdramas. On the other hand, I love How Lusi is versatile in her acting she's perfect and I love all the actors and actresses in this cdrama because is so different and we can learn helpful knowledge and try to relate with the real situations that are represented in this drama.

This drama is so refreshing to me with just the mere fact that even though i knew they’ll eventually link Tou Tou and Tian Zhen together there was no clear indication that Tian Shen have feelings for Tou Tou. I like that they didnt make it so obvious until later that he likes her. And that also his clear with what he is feeling towards her and not denying it just because of a few feud and arguments he had with Tou Tou in the past.

No one ever wants to listen to kids when they say the truth. All the adults in this drama didn't want to hear the truth on how much help Meng Meng needed because it was too "difficult" to hear and too much work to deal with. What would other people say? Her death was an avoidable one. I'm also kind of mad at the childish commenters who throughout this show hated the character because she got in the way of their OTP - mental illness isn't convenient. Needing help isn't fun. Feeling trapped - like a caged bird looking to fly - all I feel is sadness at the character that we lost.
Even the nanny said,,,, she was not a human,,, even the dogs are taken por a walk….. !!

Pessoas mais jovens com depressão podem confundir as coisas, se assistirem esse drama. Não aconselho. Se vocês tiverem filhos que sofram com essa doença, não os deixem assistir esse drama, por favor. Isso é uma mentira. Nosso país deveria proibir a entrada desses dramas. Só estou assistindo por causa de Zhao Lusi, minha atriz favorita. Mas acho, que ela era muito mais jovem quando trabalhou nesse drama. É o pior papel dela como atriz principal.
Zhao lusi' carries this drama so well, got me interested in the deep meaning of the sayings especially about maintening balance in one's life. Preventing disease and the importance of sleep.

sun tou tou scene when she tried to save ren tian zhen was so emotional
i loved meng mengs character so much and despite most people finding her annoying, i liked her, she was literally suffering from a mental illness and ya'll were too freaking worried about a damn love story and how she was standing in between the MC's, ya'll need to get real. it's up to the main character to develop their relationship, she never did anything to harm anyone, she was so kind and so sweet. i truly will miss seeing her sweet face

I even felt the original script was changed to please the general fan consensus, when RTZ placed more focus on attending to a ladder than to her while STT noticed MM was disturbed in that earlier episode. It's totally unlikely for him to have done that, and STT to have noticed her instead.

Zhao lusi good acting and still has humor. Encouragement and determination needs to be given and supported to the person suffering from depression, humiliation and demeaning someone's character. From a young age on, love, care and support, praise to a child is important for their development, emotional and mental growth and stability

I actually quite understand Mengmeng's suicide because I'm currently undergoing depression too, with that kind of parents.. nevermind. They demand too much from her, Mengmeng felt abandoned and selfhate, what she needed was a space. She found that space in Tianzhen's home and the students and the familiar medicinal herbs around the medicine centre, she found sanctuary around the people who suffered from illnesses, she felt that she wasn't alone. But her parents deprived her of that safe haven. If that happens to me, idk if I can do better.

Meng Meng sólo necesitaba amor, me dolió mucho ver que incluso cuando mostraba su sufrimiento a través sus pinturas no le dieron la ayuda que necesitaba. Esperaba que Xin Zheng cambiará su actitud con Tian Zhen después de platicar con el papá de Meng Meng y quedarse sin palabras cuando este le preguntó cuánto tiempo pasaba con su hijo. Es curioso, Xin Zheng puede reconocer muy bien las faltas en los demás pero no en sí mismo. ¿Qué hubiera sido de Tian Zhen si Tou Tou no lo hubiera buscado? Este drama ha tocado mi corazón, todos han trabajado muy duro. Gracias Luo Yizhou por permitirme conocer un maravilloso drama y actores increíbles 💚

This episode was fantastic...i actually blame editing and writing for doing mengmeng's arc so dirty hence why we all thought she was annoying initially.
Mengmeng is not annoying but what annoying is no spark between fl and m lead until episode 26-27
nah, the editing and writing are completely fine. It's the mind of other people who keeps on hating on her despite MM clearly having PTSD and needed psychological help but other people find her annoying just because she was "in the way" for the main lead's lovestory. They're so messed up.

Dealing with depression and those trying to help others with depression...a sad but good look at mental illness and how complicated it can be! There is not one level of it...there is no quick fix....and the outcome may not always a good one! I see depression like a prison of the mind that sometimes theres noway out.....suicide can be seen sometimes as a persons resilience to life....some can get knocked down and always get up and some get knocked down but lose the will to fight back.....just my thoughts only please dont take my words into account! This brought me back to when my sister hung herself a year ago, although im not sad about it anymore, it felt like I time traveled back to the hospital. I had a feeling meng meng was gonna commit and I can only feel truly sorry for every family that deals with suicidal family members or friends. She wasn't a perfect mom but I'm glad we have her two young children in my home.

I knew that treating Meng Meng was more like a therapy for himself. This however was over his head...depression is a fierce warrior. It has taken many of us...but we must keep fighting. The truth is the only one that can save Meng Meng was herself. As the only that can save him...is himself. He needs to face his demons...Tou Tou cannot do this for him.
