I'm transitioning from yugioh to magic and your videos are amazing for people like me who are learning about deck building. You do an amazing job at not only breaking down your decks but also explaining why you tech the cards in and how they interact. Keep up the good work

@jeffscalise5927 Absolutely! The primary downsides of bounce lands are (a) that they enter tapped, and (b) that they ask you to be more deliberate about *when* you spend your mana, which can create some awkward sequencing dilemmas. If your ramp package consists primarily of mana dorks, those dorks are subject to summoning sickness, and you can't use the mana that turn. If your ramp package is mostly land based, those lands probably enter tapped (with a few popular exceptions), so you can't use the mana that turn. But when you ramp with artifacts, you can use the mana that turn, which can complement and help compensate for that otherwise awkward sequencing that playing bounce lands can create, and turn on your ability to double spell in spite of the hit that bounce lands can deal to you. There are half a dozen reasons why artifacts are one of the preferred ramp methods of cEDH, and the sequencing power they give is one of them. Tl;dr- A solid mana rock package makes up for some of the downsides of bounce lands.
Cool deck idea, any excuse to use displacer kitten is going to solid. Thoughts on the new Kozilek in the build? He's a payoff that gives you fuel, and eats away at your opponents ability to interact with you, or to hamper a threatening player.
@@BlackGarland I thought a lot about each of the titans. New Kozilek would be a lot more attractive in a more dedicated Eldrazi build, but Distortion Kozilek actually isn't half bad if you've got one lying around. I also liked the new Emrakul, but that's just *so hard to cast* without Neera that I didn't think I could justify it.
@@aegisgamingofficial2178 Both emrakul have good arguments for inclusions, I'm probably more of a fan of the 2nd gen for the reason you stated. I think most people get caught up on new kozileks anthem effect, which is why he's considered the runt. Kozilek has an anthem to serve his first ability, not to serve eldrazi in general imo. Eldrazi don't really care about anthems since most scenarios that involve 3+ eldrazi, are basically a victory lap. I would argue the anthem is just there to make it so their morphs are always going to be smaller than yours if you choose yourself, akin to anthems in Kudo. Kozilek being a 8 card swing is what makes him formidable, and so few decks can benefit from the forced morph as well.
@TopRamin I mean it's not awful, I'm just not keen enough on paying effectively 3 mana to scry 2 (a ratio of 3:2) when the next worst land doing this enters tapped and looks at the top for free (a ratio of 1:1 or 2:2 to scale). If it were in someone's Neera deck, I probably wouldn't cut it, but building from scratch it feels really low on the ladder, and idk if I'd include it building from scratch.
I feel like your misunderstanding the Neera trigger? It's a may ability, I can cast any card, including counterspells, regardless of her board presence.
@jacenjimenez4048 from the sounds of the video it seemed he was suggesting Neera would activate off any attempted spell cast, the situation being "I cast counterspell on your Cmdr, but since Neera is on my board my counterspell automatically goes to the bottom of my deck."
@@Zer0mac316 ohh I understand what you’re saying, you are correct you get to choose when the thing bounces it doesn’t happen automatically. Also you you dont have to cast the spell you hit of Neera
@eebbaa5560 At the top of my list right now are the decks shown at the end, and Disa the Restless, as well as a few nontech videos. There are some bloomburrow requests in queue but they're a ways down, so don't hold your breath waiting 😅
Thanks for the update😊 really appriciate your content. Keep up the good Work😊 Brought the Disa precon and still didnt open it. Wanted to wait for your decktech to decide🤔
Once again, your understanding on cards and their value/utility in the commander deck they're played is amazing - so is the neera deck, well done
Holy moly you're such a sensible dude. This video solved my scruples on how to get my Neera deck working , massive thank you!

When’s the graveyard overdrive precon upgrade dropping?!
@@Bobendingo 🤣 I guess I should probably bump that one up the list.

@Bobendingo No, I just haven't made it yet. My patrons have played against it on spelltable and responded with fetal position gifs though 😁
Could you elaborate on use of bounce lands based on the mana rock package?

i use niv mizzet for board control and eventual combo/value

Thoughts on running Rivendell? Cool land that lets you scry for Neera's ability.

I may be misremembering but I am pretty sure that counterspells cannot be cast unless they have a legal target

any thoughts on the infamous cruelclaw? do you have any plans to make deck techs for him or any other bloomburrow commanders in the near future?
