1 kg Mutton / Chicken
2 tsp salt
11/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
3 tbsp ginger paste
3 tbsp garlic paste
1 cup yogurt
1 cup fried onions
1 tbsp lemon juice
5-6 green chillies paste
1 cup oil
1 tsp cumin powder
5-6 cloves
6-7 green cardamom
1 mace
1 green cardamom
12-15 pepper corns
1/4 nutmeg
5 cup rice 1 kg
3 tbsp salt
1 tsp Shah zeera
2 inch cinnamon stick
2 tbsp oil

I hv made one small variation in this recipe.
Rice cooked till almost done. Mutton pieces alone added in layering. Gravy not added instead added some more water in the gravy and then strained it to use the same as a gravy served with biryani. Topped the biryani with some deshi ghee while putting on dum.
