Nashville school shooting: 3 students, 3 adults killed by female suspect, police say

- Three children and three adults were gunned down on Monday by a female shooting suspect at a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee, according to officials.
The female gunman was also killed by responding officers.
The shooting happened at The Covenant School, a Presbyterian school for about 200 students from preschool to sixth grade, according to its website.
Three students, as well as three adult staff members, were killed, police said.
At noon local time, the Metro Nashville Police Department confirmed the "active shooter event" on Twitter and said the suspect "was engaged by MNPD and is dead."
The names and ages of the victims and the shooter were not immediately released.
The fire department said it responded to an "active aggressor" but did not give any specifics. Nashville’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) also said it was responding to the scene.
Students were seen walking to safety Monday, holding hands as they left their school surrounded by police cars, to a nearby Woodmont Baptist Church to reunite with their parents.

I homeschooled my three in a public school program for 7 years. I went with them drove them, fed them, was in class with them. We did not have computer or TV in the home. Only computer in library and school. I'm homeless now for 15 years and will probably die in the street but it was worth it. Their dad who was wealthy cheated them and died at 57 on the golf course. It's not sad or tragic. It's common. This happens EVERY month in America. Instead of condolences/thoughts and prayers (since they are ALL useless and mean nothing.) why not help by setting up a gofundme for the families who's children were killed so the can afford the funeral costs. And while you're at it starting getting more people involved for stricter gun laws.

I can only imagine what these poor parents are thinking as they run /walk up to the school to learn the fate of their children! Even when you pay for school, this still happens. Ugh smh. I'm so sorry for the children and adults who lost their lives today. May you go in peace to a better place with God now. It's sad and so unnecessary. People that do this normally leave clues as to why, and sadly no one noticed this girl needed help... Bad. I'm sure something happened to her that she thought was verification enough but it's never OK to take innocent lives... PERIOD. These babies were just in school to learn and that's becoming one of the unsafest places to be these days. I would homeschool my kids tbh. I'm so thankful my son is 22 and I don't need to worry about this happening to him, just everything else. Let us all pray for the children in school, that they have a safe place to study and learn.
