Hey, BMUS and team! Thank you so much for sharing that visit with us. Several alternative brick brands owe you more than they know, it it passionate people like you who give them international recognition. LoZ, Keeppley, Sembo, XMork and many others were unknown in Europe until recently but you definitely shone a light on them. I hope an agreement can be found with Pan Tasy, for their sets look amazing. Is that a Seiya in the [edit: Sagittarius] Myth Cloth at 19:20? Want it, and the rest as well. Once again, thank you. BMoK!
So good to see Ida! Looks like you both had a wonderful time looking at all the possibilities. Thank you! (I hope Reobrix plans on making more book nooks! At least one romance one, please. Oh, yes, and a mystery/Sherlock Holmes one too.)
hi Scottie, Chris and Ida!!! (well, I guess now we know why the children are so great 😀) Thanks for the tour, can't wait to see what is coming! I've built the Jaki astronaut/suit- it was an excellent set , fun build and brick quality was just right. I've also done a couple of the Pantasy sets and they are some of my faves, I hope you can work something out with them. Thanks for all your hard work - you guys are amazing and i really appreciate how much info you pass on. Blessings, kelly
Glad you like the astronaut and the Pantasy sets. I still get asked to review them, but I'll wait until things get better and no rush really, they've bombarded so many other youtubers with set reviews which are good to watch too. Speaking of bombarding...the site is about to get a bunch of new sets uploaded lol.
The main show in China does this like ten fold. You need at least 3 days cause every booth is brick related. I don't think I'll make this round though for the biggest show in April.
17:42 QiHui looks AWESOME! I really need to get a few of their new sets again. I think it's a small factory but they make their own great quality Technic parts and the designs look really fun. Also, they are one of the few places left doing alternative models, even Lego has pretty much given up on that.
Dude I love non Lego building blocks. Making them smaller makes the build more challenging and fun. Nanoblocks are some of my favorite obsessed with the Pokemon series. I'll definitely get some Keeppley Pokémon after watching this thanks dude!! I'll be checking your store first when I buy haha!!
Awesome! Many are the same or just being introduced to non Lego sized and even alt bricks in general. A lot has changed over the past 2 years since I've been running the store and seeing many check out unique sets. Nanoblocks are fun, I really need to do more and I have so many on my back log. ON my first live stream I think I took out a nano block hot pot set lol still need to build it. The keekpley pokemons are really popular. There's so many and a lot we don't have up on our store. Just browse online for keepley pokemon and if you do ever end up buying from us just email directly for sets we don't have and Ida will help you out. The older larger figure ones like Charizard look really good. Good luck!
Hello Scottie, nice to see you on the HKTF and thanks for taking us with you. Will you be on the Shanghai Fair in October? I think i will come over for that one.
Johnny! You’re so popular now! So happy to see your vids. Don’t know if I’ll have time to go in Oct. I’ll miss the big one in SZ too for April. Let’s see how it all plans out. We will meet soon! Cheers!
Xingbao seems to be making mostly Mork and Bluebrixx sets these days. I can't imagine that really makes up for the loss of (most of the) Lepin copy business, though?! I get the impression that they never managed to install a strong in-house design team, maybe because they were so used to copying... They are reworking some of their moulds but a lot of the bad old moulds are still in use as well. Looks like they are in a pretty bad state. :( The new Urban Village modular from last year looks great, though. I'm glad that I still have that to build and I hope the third one also gets released at some point.
xMork was adamant that they have nothing to do with Xingbao. Internally it's really hard to know the truth. Before we were told directly from them they were together lol. Shame they haven't announced anything, but that might all change in the upcoming April expo. Will have to wait n see.
@@brickmeupscottie They are probably their own independent company but they are definitely using Xingbao bricks in all of their sets. There are some rumors that they are switching to Jing (Zhe Gao) but so far nothing was found in an actual set.
Well, Ida really does exist! After all these years of talking via email it's nice to actually put a face to the messages. Looks like you had a great time. I wish the Xingbao booth was a little more interesting. Anyway thanks a lot you guys.
Great to see Ida making a guest appearance on the channel. Shame Xingbao didn't have anything new to show (though probably a lot better for my wallet).
That's Reobrix 66027 Medieval Church, 3468 bricks, available to buy starting at about 100 €. There are a few video reviews already. Light included, big parts, somewhat boring, cheesy design with no interior decoration.
I’m in bed with Covid. After evading it all this time - it found me. 🤬 Taking paxlovid and hoping for the best 🙏🏻🤞🏻… catching up on my videos and I loved this one. I honestly think that so many new brick brands now have more guts than Lego when it comes uniquely-designed sets. They aren’t afraid to make something off-the-wall or different. Of course, I do neither like nor support so many brick brands that copy or steal from Lego or AFOLs or IPs but for those legit brands… I’m actually liking that there designs are more and more not afraid to be unique. I’ve been reviewing more and more myself and have been asked to review more and more. Lego is the gold standard but you my friend have shown the world that there’s more out there and I think a lot of us AFOLs are seeing that we can get fun, unique sets for less $ if we are willing to expand our “brick minds” from more than just the Lego Religion. Also, if you know of companies who would like an AFOL MOC builder to help them design or use one of my designs, give them my name and put in a good word for me. Stay safe my friend! PS. Thanks for the shoutout.
Oh doc! I had covid last Nov, wasn't fun esp it spread to the kids. They also just had it the second time a few weeks ago...lucky the symptoms weren't that bad. You'll get through. I love your alt reviews and yes I only prefer the legit ones but sometimes I'll make a mistake and think it's original when it may not be. Also the brands go through the same thing too. THey hire designers but sometimes those designers give out other designer instructions and it becomes a mess. Thanks for your kind words always, and maybe I'll hit you up and lets try to see if we can get a set going. The manufacturing cost still scares me though lol.
I don't think Lego needs any type of expo. They just do announcements and sell out sets lol. They do a lot of exhibitions here in Hong Kong though...I'm talking like almost every month in a different mall they do some wild set ups. Super cool to see. I guess that's good enough for them.
Hahah to be fair we were there for just meetings and had to rush it and most the booths did not like us filming. I do have more shots from him but the video will prob be about 4 hours. To make up for it you can see more snaps on my insta. I shall punish him in the meantime.

Love Saint Seiya as a kid. Lol. Glad to see brands getting more recognition, but I doubt most aren't from me. Thank you for the kind words!
Hey Scottie, thx you very much for sharing this.
Greetings from the mountains
Stay warm up there!
Lots fun looking at the cool sets!
Wish I had more time there.
Thanks for showing us around the toys and games fair in HK! So cool to see all those exciting sets.
Welcome!

and on the way to my office lol.

@@brickmeupscottie would be great. 👍
I'd LOVE it if one of these brands would start doing licensed Armored Core sets 😍😍
I agree...though Armored core isn't probably popular enough..unless the new game comes out. I'm all for more gaming related sets.
@@brickmeupscottie well, after Elden ring I'm sure armored core 6 is gonna be a success, fingers crossed 🤞🤞

We shall let xingbao slide for now...since the boarders were quite strict. Too bad though there hasn't been much update from them at all.

Glad I didn't do that one then lol.
2:33 Pingao = Achko. Uses a mix of different sources for the bricks, GBL (Kazi), Jizhi and unmarked bricks. The resulting quality is ok but not great.
Ah the bike guys! Lol Thanks for the info. I can never tell who is sub brand of what brand lol.

So does Lego ever do these expos themselves?
I heard that they don't ever do promotional work.
