"processes." is a film, disguised as a vlog, disguised as a documentary, disguised as a motivational tiktok compilation.
notes from KILLVONGARD:
on monday october 23rd, i planned to record a clip that would serve as a teaser to what i have coming in the month of november. the intro of this piece is that initial glimpse.
as i wrapped up the filming, an idea for another scene came to me, like a vision of the flux capacitor, then another & another and by wednesday at 7:20 pm i had a delorean (a 14 minute short film).
"processes. " is the product of caffeine and nostalgia fueled daydreams - and that is precisely what it’s about: transformation through art, grief & laundry.
i didn't do anything besides shoot and edit for 2 days and over a week after completion i am paying the price physically.
i am very proud of what i made, but i am also exhausted.
my lower back is fucked.
my office chair is not an office chair.
i think i got so tired of planning and planning and planning an album rollout i just had to DO SOMETHING.
this film was an exercise in just fucking doing it.
i am mentally drained.
i got got by the algorithm.
this film is meant to be viewed in full.
i released it parts on instagram and twitter and tiktok.
why? i'm not really sure. because i love art? that doesn't make sense.
surely i did not expect to become a tiktok star by making this right? what the hell?
ironically, like clockwork, a general lack of validation from people who aren't actually that important have outweighed my actual peers who never stop gassing me up, again.
why does this happen?
what flavor is this chip on my shoulder?
there's a lesson in here somewhere i think. don't feel like figuring it out.
y'all gotta hear this album.
