I really like the principles in approach you took this. What has always bugged me about Anplitube is you can hear it clipping (and I don’t mean a nice edge of break up amp clipping) . I have never been able to fix it and I can hear it in this demo?
I agree 100% later on as I went through the channel I started recommending a few practices to avoid clipping. Lately I like to drop the yellow fader the most!! Thanks for all the great videos you make and the incredible tips... I have a question, I use Amplitube 5 and it's my main guitar software, and I want to buy a Behringer FCB1010 MIDI controler, do you have any suggestions or opinions on that matter? Thanks again...
Thank you for your nice comment my friend! I appreciate it! And on the subject of midi controllers for AT5 I have very little experience. And zero exp with that specific midi pedal. But it’s a question I getting more and more lot, I have a simple Bluetooth pedalboard. I’m gonna have to experiment and report back!! So far, my findings are that in the Live and looper modes in AT5 you need to do changes to the interface selections to achieve the same sound. I have to make a video about this.
They have a bundle called amplitube max, usually that includes everything up until a certain date, but I’m sure the one right now includes everything you see me using on any of my videos!
Usually there’s some kind of deal for like $100, that was the case not too long ago, I’m sure for Black Friday there’s gonna be something similar. Don’t pay full price if you can wait
Hello, I wan to know how do you get the interface that shows all the amps and effects? I downloaded the product manager and installed the software. But where do I access the amps themselves? any help would be great!
You mean for purchase? If so, you need to download the Custom Shop app! That’s where you’ll find all the Amp collections. Or do you mean within Amplitube itself?
@Itsjorgelanzas the amplitube itself. I actually found it. Thanks for responding! Could I use amplitube on zoom for online guitar lessons? I have a focusrite interface for all my external signals, and I trying to find out if it is possible.
I’m glad you figured it out! And yes, you should be able to use it with zoom. I’d suggest to use it in the standalone version to avoid the use of extra latency and processing power. I’m sure there’s videos that can help you with this! 🙌🏻
I don't know why, but I cannot play in real time with VSTs. Seemed people in 2011 already did that with even 64 buffer size. I tried several audio interfaces with my Ryzen 3600 and 32GB RAM and 256 is the minimum I get without distorsion. I can reduce sampling rate to about less than 10khz to reduce buffer size to 128...but 128 is a lot of latency to me. Any clues?
Hi friend!! 1) Is this latency issue happening inside your daw, or in the standalone version of amplitube? 2) did you check to make sure you audio interface is recognized by either? Latency can come from different places. It seems to me like you have a capable computer, so it seems to me, that something might not be setup correctly. I would definitely try uninstalling and installing again if I know that I’m not doing any mistakes. But, 15yrs of doing this, most times it’s simple human error and you can figure it out with a bit if trouble shooting
@@Itsjorgelanzas I use standalone app. I have also tried neural amp and similar results. My PC recognizes the audio interface and I have latest drivers. At 48khz you cannot reduce buffer more than 256 without breaking the signal. Sometimes, not even 256, you need 512. Either 256 or 512 are so much delay for real time playing. I will try more things but I start to doubt if people is happy playing at 512 buffer size and they say there are no issues...
Definitely there’s something wrong happening in your setup. Most of people I know run it at 64 no problem, even the video I did yesterday I did it at 32. And I have a very humble Mac mini. So I feel like computer power is not the issue. But then if you say you have the same issue with neural, I wonder if there’s something with the interface’s driver. I promise you people use Amplitube at 64, no problem
@@Itsjorgelanzas Thnak you man for your feedback. I have tried in another computer and could play at 64 using a 9.6Khz sample rate haha. Still, 64 is a lot of latency for me. Maybe Macs work better with audio, I don't know. But 64 samples should provide the ~same latency in all setups, so I guess VSTs are not for me yet. You play and you have a natural delay titi titi titi hehe. I will investigate more but...less hope
I know man, im sorry to read that. Latency is dependent on many factors. One of em is the plugin itself, running at 64 samples. But then, the interface adds latency and can have or lack the ability to compensate. But overall, I think you have a hardware issue with the interface and the computer buses, there’s no way real 64 samples of latency would bother you. I promise you, the world of professional studios runs in more than that. 64 samples you’re looking at like 2 ms. I’m sure your latency is either coming from your interface, or the asio driver. I hope you find the solution. You have enough computer and the software runs fine. I would investigate what setting is messing up in my interface or asio driver.

stumbled across this one as i struggled to get a handle on the noise spilling out of amp5 free. i dug a bit deeper and was dismayed by how few subs you picked up compared to the healthy amount of content you managed to put up. so i smashed the like, and fucked up the bell... then you said something about LA. ngl i was writing this when you were asking LA peeps to comment on lol i can't chew bubble gum and walk a straight line at the same time HA i sure can't translate my thoughts into words while stroking the keyboard and listen to what's being said on a rando youtube offering but this should pimp your channel to the algorithm and put you about 4 subs away from the new monetization milestone, no? is it 500and you're eligible? you're close bro, to catching sponsors *and* to my apartment.
Most times, in my experience in studios, the mics are usually the same, the engineers or producers usually have a combination of mics they’ve been favoring during the time, so what changes is the amps, guitars and players, but most of the recording process is the same broad picture with little variable nuances.
hey friend how can I record the pedal loop with amplitube 5? like i wanna record the same track using the loop pedal and then make a solo , but when I go to the loop section in the DAW there is no bottum to record the track.
I’ll have to get back to you in this! I’ve never used that feature on Amplitube, don’t even know if it’s possible 😅 I’ll have to experiment when I get the chance.
I just picked up Studio Max 4 for 265 and it seems like a good deal but I should've done more research because the fee to re-download certain sounds after 180 days is ridiculous and I don't agree with it. Companies these days act like you don't own the content you paid for, it's frustrating. I wish I would've gone with something else now.
Man,, I know how much that sucks. I’m sorry you had that bad experience. I agree with you on that sense, I’m already mad that I got to pay for Pro Tools again, after I’ve put like 10k on my rig, they still make me pay 400 a year…. Been with them for 13 years
@@Itsjorgelanzas Actually I just found out they removed the limit for downloads a couple months ago! I don't regret my purchase now. I'll give them a shot. But as for Pro Tools, that's the whole reason I don't give them my money. I refuse to go along with the subscription model on top of already being expensive. Their annual recurring fee costs more than a lot of other DAW's one time fees like Reaper for example. Most people like actually owning the content they pay for, something a lot of companies these days don't understand. I'm not a fan of paying bills 🤣
@@Itsjorgelanzas If musicians could effectively organize and boycott them in a controlled way, we MIGHT be able to get them to offer Pro Tools as a lifetime one time fee. For example, February is coming up, everybody don't forget, it's "cancel your ProTools subscription" month, where we all temporarily cancel and flood them with emails telling them to offer lifetime licenses, even if the price is steep. Let them know we want to actually own the product. Eventually they'd be like "We've listened to our customers and decided to offer lifetime licenses for 2000." That's just an example and it might seem expensive, but when you consider when the annual renewal fee is, it would pay for itself after about 5 years. They would lose some profits long term but it would be good for the overall customer experience. They could even still offer upgrades at a cost, but the fact that they don't offer ANY version you can own outright is just not consumer-friendly.
I feel you my friend 🤣🤣 they got me cause that’s my lifeline 🤣🤣, in my line of work basically you HAVE to use pro tools, so I just go with it. Thank you for sharing your experience with us friend!! 🙌🏻
@@Itsjorgelanzas That's why my friend uses it too. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing DAW. I'd use it too if the pricing were different. I'm trying out Mixcraft 10 pro right now because I like the simplicity and the value of what you get for the 150 price point, but I'm considering switching to Reaper. The price is very reasonable for how powerful it looks. I've heard of ProTools users switching to Reaper. If you can get the same results, why not save the money and put towards other things like equipment? I've heard you can customize Reaper to where (almost) everything looks and acts the same as with ProTools minus a few differences.
Just like a dart in the dark, with the little information I’m getting, I’m gonna say, that maybe you have your interface set to “direct input monitoring” so you are not hearing the return from your computer, but a direct signal from your interface straight to your speakers. Some interfaces have a knob or a switch that would say something like “direct monitor”. I would try changing that first.
1st off, when switching presets in Amplitube 5 or 5 max, the volume goes to MAX where you're going to blow your monitors even when your guitar is off ! The default settings should be -40 DB INSTEAD OF 2DB or higher ! This is an issue that I have been bringing up to IK Multimedia for 1 year and it falls on DEAF EARS ! Why don't talk about switching presets instead of switching guitars ! When the presets have pedals added to them the volume is even higher because they have the default settings maxed out !
I agree man,, I’ve said it in a few videos 🤣🤣 it’s pretty messed up how they do presets, that’s why I choose to use it this way, they REALLY NEED TO HIRE A PRESET DESIGN TEAM! 🤣🤣🤣
Holy God you and every tutor miss the #1 obvious... Whin I load amplitube it loads the default... Knobs on the amp do NOTHING If i drag a different amp, knobs do Nothing , I still hear default WHY ?
I do! 🤣 it’s a cheap Macy’s shirt that I got for during a Father’s Day sale like 6 years ago. Definitely Not “Batik”? 🤣🤣🤣 it feels more like a simple print, nothing cool handmade.
Here in the channel we’ve learned that Maybe try checking your preamps or your interface my friend! I have a few videos on the subject that you should check out. That way, amplitube will behave as intended and not have the singular issues you might be having my friend!

Good video, very helpful as an approach to thinking differently. One comment - the amp you selected can be tricky because it has 5 different combinations of voltage/tube sets. That poses an additional sonic challenge which you handled very well!
I’m glad you find it helpful! And thank you for your insightful comment. I’m sure everyone in the channel appreciates it as much as I do! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 have a great day!

Fantastic shirt too !
I’m glad you do friend!!! It’s such an inviting playground!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 and thanks for the compliment, love a good shirt! 😅

Very nice, I'm strongly considering Amplitube 5 Max as is currently on sale and I can't help exploring new gear.
This is a great video in general, not just for Amplitube. I'm generally a preset user, but definitely want to learn how to dial in my own tones and this will help 😎

That way even the master section cleans up. Freeing headroom for all the other processes. I hope the make Inter component gain structure for amplitube 6. Thanks for your nice comment friend! I hope you are having a great week!
I have been using Amplitube 5 Max for nearly 2 years, I have had lots of multi effect processors and they were never near to Amplitube. Especially with this end of year sale where they gave the 2 together tonex and amplitube max for 129 they are absolute no brainers.

I'd like to buy this program, but I've only been playing guitar for 6 months now, and I just feel all the options would bog me down and I'd spend more time fiddling with it to get a 'good' tone rather than practicing... Going to keep it simple for now.
I agree, maybe something from neural dsp can be better. They have actually useful presets and you can narrow your options down by the kind of artist they’re teaming up with and so on. Anyway!! Hi Jorge, I am new to your channel and this was the first video I watched from you.....thumbs up how you give all the useful tips and informations to us. Especially for Amplitube....and I hope soon for Tonex :-) Would be great to cover one topic in your channel.....which is very confusing to me......I mean gain staging...how to set the proper gain, starting from the audio interface to the DAW/Plugin. Question: Have you already tried the Neural Amp Modeler (NAM)? Best wishes from Austria
Hi Michael! Welcome to the channel! I’m glad you liked this kind of videos! Please, check my channel!, is have two videos on clean tone and gain staging that will help you!
I have to make a video about this.
can you buy everything in one bundle?
They have a bundle called amplitube max, usually that includes everything up until a certain date, but I’m sure the one right now includes everything you see me using on any of my videos!
@@Itsjorgelanzas perfect, definitely something to look into!
Usually there’s some kind of deal for like $100, that was the case not too long ago, I’m sure for Black Friday there’s gonna be something similar. Don’t pay full price if you can wait
Such a helpful video, thank you! Real quick: what are you doing at the audio interface?
I’m glad you find it useful! I’m going straight into the DI/instrument input on the interface. I’m using an IK multimedia axe io. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
I would investigate what setting is messing up in my interface or asio driver.
what is your input level on your interface preamp?? Then, what level are you using for the input on the Amplitube? It all matters.
I did this whole video sharing with you all you need! Go check it out friend. And YES, it all matters. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Well deserved, my friend. Good luck with your UA-cam channel@@Itsjorgelanzas
Thank you so much! Appreciate you! 🙏🏼
Wouldn’t you start with the amp in the room? Why place mics then change the amp?
For example,
February is coming up, everybody don't forget, it's "cancel your ProTools subscription" month, where we all temporarily cancel and flood them with emails telling them to offer lifetime licenses, even if the price is steep.
Great time to be a guitar player..
It really is!! So much power in our little personal computers!! Thank you for your nice comment my friend! 🙌🏻🙌🏻
do i have to use a daw like logic for this amplitube software?

Hermoso sonido. Se nota la calidad versatilidad de la guitarra.

How do I change from the default amp??? All the amps I can drag but I still hear the default Please aHelp

@@Itsjorgelanzas Amplitube is by far the best if you have the machine to run it. Not under rated. It is king. The only other amp sim that comes close for me is T-HU, & now TONEX, but that is also IK Multimedia. Other sims are also great, (like neural dsp) but ampliTube has the most variety & tone shaping abilities, & officially supported recreations. There is no such thing as using software wrong if you have the knowledge to get the sound you want. It's about passion & ability. Any tone can be shaped with eq, compression & FX, if you know what you are doing. It's knowledge & a good system with good speakers. You just show us how you use it, like we are all using it wrong because we are stupid & you are smarter. I didn't mean any offense, it's just there is no such thing as wrong when you are creative & do it with passion. It's a matter of taste, & we all have different taste. I just don't want people thinking they are not good enough to be good.
