You look absolutely beautiful! Great color and cut! I almost cried when I saw her add bleach over your existing highlights. Then she said under the dryer for 30 minutes. YIKES! If my highlights get too close to the previous ones my hair just breaks apart. Hairdryer - almost never! Just about 1- to 20 minutes of sitting there no air no heat no dryer and fingers crossed it doesn't do too much damage. Ultimately major split ends even though I baby it! You look awesome - she did a great job.

I'm feeling it! I've always had longer hair for a guy until CVD, then I went to a buzz. I hated it, hated it , hated it! On the road back, and I really missed the Salon Experience every 4 weeks. New year, new stylist who I really like and she knows what I'm going for. Nothing like what you getting done, but still it is fun, I leave happy, relaxed and refreshed. Guys, you don't know what your missing, totally worth the extra bucks, you get what you pay for. Can't wait to go back in 4 days to get my now totally natural bright white hair stylin" again. Getting my hair cut Tuesday in the total undercut. I had the back done but was nervous about getting the sides done. So here we go! My hair needs layered and point cut through the top so I can do it like yours! No color for me as I have my greys as highlights! Love your tips!

Well, first off, let me say, the COLOR and CUT are FANTASTIC!!! You sure have found an awesome hair stylist!! And, bless her heart, number 4 baby!! I can totally relate...I have 4 ( grown) children too! I just LOVE that you took us step by step! I am curious, about the longer time getting processed. I say this only because, I too, one time, had a longer time and my hairstylist asked me a really weird question.... She asked me if I had been using copper mugs to drink out of, or anything with copper in it! I had been drinking out of a copper mug and she said, THAT"S IT!! My hair just took soooo much longer to get through the "copper" stage!! Interesting huh? I stopped using that mug and the next time I went, my hair came up faster! Sounds crazy, but who knows!! LOVED this video....take care my friend. Let me know if you have any copper mugs!!!

I love the highlights, Sharalee!! The color is very pretty!! I had highlights for about ten years, before I decided to get rid of them. My hair became very dry and porous when I had the highlights. The color was beautiful. But, the texture wasn't that great. Then, I was in menopause, which didn't help my hair texture at all. It made it worse, instead of better. So, that's when I decided to cover the highlights. Now, I'm back to my normal hair color, which is around a medium brown. I'm not exactly sure what my natural hair color is anymore, since I have been coloring my hair since I was 37 years old. Now, I'm 67 years old and still coloring my hair. Lol I will let the gray hair grow in one of these days. But, probably not until I'm really old and gray. Lol xoxo

Sharalee...I absolutely love your hairstyle. Short hair best fits my face and yes recently I shared your cut with my new stylist. I prefaced my talk with "I know my hair texture is different, it's baby fine and stick straight, I do not look like her but I have handled my hair more years than some of her viewers have been alive". With that said I want to try the style, after all it's just hair and will grow back. I feel that we as the female gender do not always focus on just the thing we think we want. We look how great that whole package looks in the photo and sometimes think that hairstyle, dress, make-up will make us look like the person in the picture. The new stylist chose not to do the undercut and I was happy that day but we will have to have another conversation because I want my hair closer at the nape and ears. Thank you🥰 We are trying to strategically plan my hair appointments so I get a cut right before the baby is due and then hoping she might be ready to start taking a few clients here and there a month later. However, knowing that one truly never knows how things will go with delivery, etc, there's another stylist that has cut my hair before when Kristen was on maternity leave with the other 3 children that I will contact if things change😘
I love this look and plan on showing this to my stylist. Sharalee are you more of a warm or cool color person? I can’t do anything with warm tones in it on my hair or I turn brassy so trying to figure out a lighter color for me. I'm so glad you found this helpful!! I'm a warm toned gal but I've found I prefer cooler tones in my hair. My hair is just like yours...any hint of "warmth" and it will be very brassy, verging on orange!😆
What color highlights are on your hair?? The color is beautiful!! I would love to try something like that on my hair. I had highlights for ten years. However, I decided to cover them with a medium brown color, because they started getting very dry. My hair started falling out because of it. The colorist used a honey blonde color for my highlights. However, if I decide to get highlights again, I would like to try a color like yours. I think it looks great with dark hair. I appreciate your advice. Thank you!! 😊
Thank you for your kind words! My stylist just uses straight bleach with a very high volume (40) to give me the highlights. She says they are equivalent to about a level 10-11 cool blonde...almost platinum. The bleaching process can be very drying for sure! You may just start with a few highlights and be sure to regularly use a heavy conditioner/masque on your hair to prevent dryness and breakage🥰

Absolutely love this colour…my hair is white & ive been washing & conditioning it with purple shampoo & con…I also use purple mousse…my friends say it looks great….my hairdresser cut my hair a bit short at the back this time But hey it will grow back quickly….sadly mine doesn’t grow down very long at the nape so tends to look a bit blockish not nice like Yours!😣😔 So in saying all that waffle Your hair looks fabulous & I think it’s nice for a change from the blonde! Great question! Yes, you definitely should take into consideration your undertone when considering hair and makeup colors. I have warm undertones so I typically go for warmer makeup tones but like my hair to be a little more on the cool side....but not too cool😘
Ok, I got another question 🙄 lol so I’m the one who said I can’t find anyone here in Arizona to cut my hair short so I did it myself. I tried to cut it the same as yours and did pretty darn good but I’m not sure how short she cuts the spiked area….I know she undercuts it but the back part that is spiked. Do you know that length by any chance? 😊 thanks in advance ❤️
From what I can measure😘 I'd say that top back section is about 2 1/2" and then it gets slightly shorter as you move up to the very top. You are amazing to be able to do this cut on yourself!!😍
Thank you!! I'd say "yes" on both accounts😘 Because I have thick hair, the undercut helps keep it from getting too bushy on the sides....and I think it makes the cut look a little more "edgy"😎

Thank you!😍 The crown area I usually have cut to 1 3/4" - 2". I always recommend to start off a little bit longer at first because you can always trim more off😘 Your stylist will hopefully be able to give you guidance regarding the right length for your hair type.

If you want the top/crown to spike, I'd aim for between 1 3/4" - 2". You'll know when it's short enough if it stands up on it's own when the hair is wet😘
Noticed your stylist used 9b & 10vv toner. But on your may visit she used 9v & 10vv. Did you notice much different in the end result between the two? Thank you.
I did feel like this toner mix made my hair a tinge more "gray" and looked slightly more dull. So I think I actually preferred the previous toner combo....keeping all in the "violet" family😘
Yes!😘 Usually that's when I end up pulling out the scissors and making a few adjustments myself. Thankfully that doesn't happen real often and it's usually just a few minor things. Now, if there was a major issue, then I would go back and have my stylist fix it.

I'm not exactly sure what my natural hair color is anymore, since I have been coloring my hair since I was 37 years old. Now, I'm 67 years old and still coloring my hair. Lol I will let the gray hair grow in one of these days. But, probably not until I'm really old and gray. Lol xoxo

Sharalee...I absolutely love your hairstyle. Short hair best fits my face and yes recently I shared your cut with my new stylist. I prefaced my talk with "I know my hair texture is different, it's baby fine and stick straight, I do not look like her but I have handled my hair more years than some of her viewers have been alive". With that said I want to try the style, after all it's just hair and will grow back. I feel that we as the female gender do not always focus on just the thing we think we want. We look how great that whole package looks in the photo and sometimes think that hairstyle, dress, make-up will make us look like the person in the picture. The new stylist chose not to do the undercut and I was happy that day but we will have to have another conversation because I want my hair closer at the nape and ears. Thank you🥰 We are trying to strategically plan my hair appointments so I get a cut right before the baby is due and then hoping she might be ready to start taking a few clients here and there a month later. However, knowing that one truly never knows how things will go with delivery, etc, there's another stylist that has cut my hair before when Kristen was on maternity leave with the other 3 children that I will contact if things change😘
I love this look and plan on showing this to my stylist. Sharalee are you more of a warm or cool color person? I can’t do anything with warm tones in it on my hair or I turn brassy so trying to figure out a lighter color for me. I'm so glad you found this helpful!! I'm a warm toned gal but I've found I prefer cooler tones in my hair. My hair is just like yours...any hint of "warmth" and it will be very brassy, verging on orange!😆

What color highlights are on your hair?? The color is beautiful!! I would love to try something like that on my hair. I had highlights for ten years. However, I decided to cover them with a medium brown color, because they started getting very dry. My hair started falling out because of it. The colorist used a honey blonde color for my highlights. However, if I decide to get highlights again, I would like to try a color like yours. I think it looks great with dark hair. I appreciate your advice. Thank you!! 😊
Thank you for your kind words! My stylist just uses straight bleach with a very high volume (40) to give me the highlights. She says they are equivalent to about a level 10-11 cool blonde...almost platinum. The bleaching process can be very drying for sure! You may just start with a few highlights and be sure to regularly use a heavy conditioner/masque on your hair to prevent dryness and breakage🥰

Absolutely love this colour…my hair is white & ive been washing & conditioning it with purple shampoo & con…I also use purple mousse…my friends say it looks great….my hairdresser cut my hair a bit short at the back this time But hey it will grow back quickly….sadly mine doesn’t grow down very long at the nape so tends to look a bit blockish not nice like Yours!😣😔 So in saying all that waffle Your hair looks fabulous & I think it’s nice for a change from the blonde! Great question! Yes, you definitely should take into consideration your undertone when considering hair and makeup colors. I have warm undertones so I typically go for warmer makeup tones but like my hair to be a little more on the cool side....but not too cool😘

Ok, I got another question 🙄 lol so I’m the one who said I can’t find anyone here in Arizona to cut my hair short so I did it myself. I tried to cut it the same as yours and did pretty darn good but I’m not sure how short she cuts the spiked area….I know she undercuts it but the back part that is spiked. Do you know that length by any chance? 😊 thanks in advance ❤️
From what I can measure😘 I'd say that top back section is about 2 1/2" and then it gets slightly shorter as you move up to the very top. You are amazing to be able to do this cut on yourself!!😍

Thank you!😍 The crown area I usually have cut to 1 3/4" - 2". I always recommend to start off a little bit longer at first because you can always trim more off😘 Your stylist will hopefully be able to give you guidance regarding the right length for your hair type.

How short do you get the back of your hair to make it spike please ?
If you want the top/crown to spike, I'd aim for between 1 3/4" - 2". You'll know when it's short enough if it stands up on it's own when the hair is wet😘

Noticed your stylist used 9b & 10vv toner. But on your may visit she used 9v & 10vv. Did you notice much different in the end result between the two? Thank you.
I did feel like this toner mix made my hair a tinge more "gray" and looked slightly more dull. So I think I actually preferred the previous toner combo....keeping all in the "violet" family😘

Yes!😘 Usually that's when I end up pulling out the scissors and making a few adjustments myself. Thankfully that doesn't happen real often and it's usually just a few minor things. Now, if there was a major issue, then I would go back and have my stylist fix it.
