I just watched this entire video..I don't know how long ago this was put up on you tube but Thank-you to this man. I grew up watching the love boat and I am catching up on all the episodes again through this pandemic.. I have a wish...I would love to meet the cast before its too late it made me cry hearing what he said "when you get this old" The love boat is what made me a cruise fanatic and to join the business!!! I love love this person!! What a great character he played on this show but you have to have great character first...I love you Gavin macleod!!! THANK U THANK-YOU for getting me through this pandemic and I hope to meet you on a cruise at some point #princess
What an Inspiration!!! If we could all be as grateful coming through a life with trials, given much opportunity, and yet still remembering where you came from and those actors less fortunate than yourself. Remember watching both Mary Tyler Moore and Love Boat as a child with my parents and grandparents. Mr. Gavin Macleod was always a positive character being supportive of the co-characters whether he was the lead in Love Boat or a secondary role. Always making the job of acting look easy and making others look better than himself. What an example of a humble, meek, and contrite spirit or human being. Many actors are accused of doing much more, but creating much less harmonious relations on or off of the film set. A true actor with old fashioned values: discipline, work ethics, and manners. You will be missed. I looked to you, as I am certain many children raised on tv, as the model father with many attributes we all wish our own fathers, present or absent from our lives, had.
