Such an excellent and comprehensive review of the process and goals! I will only add that many hands make light work! Folks volunteer and help these gardens get established to become long lasting and enriching habitats in our local communities. A cultural shift towards greater diversity would so help our world just now, as we are losing our biodiversity on which all life depends. Thank you ladies for such an incredible presentation. I esp appreciated the bloom time spread sheet and the Key Map for both planning and knowing where all the plants are in n the garden. I would like to add their role as HOST PLANT, to the details.

I just planted 2 more Blue False Indigo alongside my sunroom. I already have one growing beside the garage and one out front. I LOVE it and here in Southwestern Ontario on May 18th, the first 2 I planted are already blooming. They are in their 3rd year now. Wild geranium is a workhouse in my garden and at the same time a very 'well-behaved' plant. I have 3 HUGE clumps that I'll be dividing to spread around the yard. Highly recommend that one, for sure.
Your videos have been popping up in my YT feed recently and I've been devouring them. I'm excited to use one of the garden designs on your website for my part shade side yard. You were questioning whether the Solomon's seal spreads... I have a variegated Solomon's seal which is not considered native, but it does spread slowly and is growing happily under the black walnut tree canopy. Thank you for such great, educational videos!

We get that question often and I will add that to the list of plant species that may do well in that situation. I'm glad you found a garden design that will work for your space!

Horsemint is yet a third variety of bee balm…diff from fistulosa and didyma
Horsemint/Spotted Bee Balm is such an interesting variety of Monarda! We are discussing that plant in our upcoming Tuesday webinar!
Interesting, I am not familiar with Horsemint. Looks like I have a new plant to research and possibly plant in my garden!
