Mythra’s voice actor did an amazing job, at 2:37:10 I can feel the despair in her voice, that cry when she knew that not only had she killed so many people, but also hurt those that trusted her. Set against that it makes a lot of sense why she would create Pyra, and seal herself away

what an awesome game, the Xenoblade stories are always so fantastic, like the fact that I can get attached to the characters in a 10 hour DLC says a lot about the quality, and passion the people who work on these games. Stoked for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, I hope they take the best of both games into that game, but regardless, the story is something almost guaranteed to be great

Wow just finished playing this game and let me tell you it might been the best thing I've ever played. With the amount of side quests, short world and overall changes/improvements to battles it really felt like a majoras mask to ocarina of time imo. The story was flat out excellent, gameplay was super smooth and the connections to the first game at the end gave me chills. I would totally get this game if you have not already!

So if it really is a glimpse into the future then she knew that she would change forms and meet Rex at some point. Now as to why she saw it I honestly don’t know, but I guess that it’s something that we won’t be able to find out for a while so I think it’s best to just leave it at that.

Terrafin 295 I feel it is just fanservice, cause we know it is going to happen, and there's no denying that. Besides, the images were very brief, and mostly focused on Rex. Most people would've just looked at Rex, cause he was never in Torna The Golden Country, but he appears as that cameo we need. So yeah, fanservice.
A little late to comment, I know, but it's actually connected to the conversation Jin had with Mythra: Addam was not her true driver, Rex was. Yes, her abilities were out of control, but I wouldn't strictly call this fan service.
@@JustinHall1976 to add on, it’s not about a “true driver” but more how one driver was willing to go farther with the relationship (accepting her for who she is and not being afraid of her power like Addam was). Addam admits that he was always afraid of the power while Rex never was. Furthermore, Mythra is using Pneuma’s power during the final fight (as evident by the sword), and that’s why she can see into the future so far (because Pneuma can control ether and such at will).

When Lora and Addam are sparing, the only difference from the memory of Haze and Bridgid is that instead of a camp it has grass. Except they got the tents. And I know, Addam doesn't have his cloak, but why would he wear his cloak in this? He only had it on in the main game because his appearance was meant to be a secret, similar to Xenoblade Chronicles X and how that hero with that Monado thing in the opening of Xenoblade Chronicles X. (Fun fact, that was Elma's team leader. She served under him) We don't know that guy's identity, or appearance. But seriously, how can you have someone like Addam connect with the characters and cast with his appearance a secret?

I'm just watching the rest of the story here cause I got up to where the story was as about 2:12:04 but after that I couldn't push myself to do all the side missions just to see more story even though I was having fun with the combat.
The Arrow it is implied that that is the case by Malos pointing out both of their eye colors and Rex being able to open the door that had Addam’s seal on it
He's simultaneously Indol's way of creating the blade eater technology and a means for Lora to complete her character arc of learning to let go and move on from her past; kind of making her somewhat of a foil to Jin, whose whole problem is that he couldn't let go of his past and what happened to Lora. He's the catalyst for Jin and Lora to even be together in the first place. If Gort wasn't a character, the events of XC2 literally would have never happened. He was extremely important, but they left just how important he is up to the player to discover by reading between the lines.
One big shock to me was that Haze was Lora’s blade at the time which I feel dumb for not remembering because there was a reused cutscene from the main game with hooded Addam sparring against Lora and Haze. Because forgetting that fact, playing through the DLC I thought “this was the same guy who kills her 500 years later!?”. At least there more closure when Jin killed her in the main game and considered her ‘free’
In XB2 they said that 3 great Titant sank... but here we only see 1 Titan sank and that was Torna. There was no other Titan even close... and i don't think that Mythra sank the Titans before this Final Fight. Also a weird name to call it "Aegis War" when it was more like a "Aegis Fight". Also wasn't Jin suprised in XB2 when Jin saw Toran in Land of Morytha? And didn't he say that it was Amalthus who destoryed Torna after Addam and Mythra disappeared?
GZcoo GZcoo History as the base game characters know it was altered by Indol to put all of the destruction on Mythra saying it was “collateral” from the war and the Agis just being _so_ powerful, rather than the fact that the praetor lost control of a blade that went off the rails and nuked a country. That’s part of why Cole/Minoth makes inaccurate plays about what happened even though he was personally there to witness it himself, since it would be dangerous for him to be accurate.
I believe it was an aegis war because mythra and addam are chasing around Malos and his artífices before joining up with Lora. Heck, Mythra was awakened one year earlier just to fight Malos. The final battle against Malos we see is just literally that. The final battle of the aegis war
Very late here but i think in xenoblade 3 they should find someway to incorporate milton hes legit such a good character imo he deserved better tbh i know this takes place in the past but he was prob my favorite new character in this dlc
So... What the heck happened after Mythra defeated Malos? Did everyone just kinda assume that Malos wouldn't come back? Since he did, what was he doing all those years without anyone knowing who he was? And HOW did he come back?
His core crystal was splintered, so the majority of his power was lost to him. He goes into hiding for while before eventually coming in contact with a Flesh Eater Jin. It was Jin's idea to found Torna to take revenge on the world and Malos was just along for the ride, though he did eventually develop an actual relationship with the other members, especially Jin. Nearly 500 years pass and Malos finds out what he needs to get his power back, the other Aegis. So he and Torna set out to find her. They enlist the aid of a salvager from Leftheria to unseal the Aegis, and the rest is history.
After doing that BULLSHIT that is the level 4 community level I told myself that this ending better be one of the best endings I have ever seen. It surpassed all my expectations. So much so that I had to watch it again
It's the required look of the scumbag antagonist. XC 1/2 do just really love mechs with exaggerated claws though. I get It's supposed to be horrifying (it works!) but I think at that scale they'd actually snap before cutting anything.
What does Jin mean at the end When he says ‘our paths won’t cross again, but should we in fact ever meet again, on that day.’ And also Azurda says ‘you won’t return’? Where is he going?
He's just going to do stuff with Malos. He's mainly being poetic saying their paths of pacifist vs. genocide won't cross. But if they do in fact intertwine, on that day we will see what unfolds, what fate has in store for us.

I love this series but I really can't be bothered to do fetch quests. Was going to do it but then I was like nah I'd rather just watch the rest of the story on youtube and play something else lol. Really bad decision to do forced side quests, I can see why they did it but still, it's a no from me! lol
I just beated it, I made all those quests and when I was seeing Torna sinking, I was very sad because all those people I helped... Even so, I think next time I'll just watch the cutscenes
Came here after getting into the community 2 progression block. After reading more, there's also community 4 progression block. I'm just not a fan of "required" side quests.

Someone can explain me please 1) why Mythra has Seen Rex as vision while she was fighting Malos, I don't understand why the future appear in the past ? 2) Adam has blood link with Rex ? 3) What's the link blood between Hugo and Morag and her Brother ? 4) How pyra was born ? Do she was always inside Mytrha mind ? At final Mythra doesn't want to exist and seems like Pyra was born ? I noticed also that Mytrha moves in Torna game are the same as Pyra in xenoblade 2 in particulary for the third art move, Mytrha doesn't have the same art move in xenoblade 2 ? it's kinda strange for me I think... Nobody knows, I suppose Hugo doesn't have bloodlines with Mòrag and her brother, cause he died, but maybe he had a sister or something like that, the game doesn't really explains it It happens the same with the other things, there are only theories
You posted this long ago, but here’s almost certainly what’s happening with pyras birth. Sometimes if an event is traumatic enough psychologically, a person can actually disassociate long term and take on a secondary personality that didn’t “experience” the traumatic event personally. This is the fantasy version of that happening. Mythra is so horrified of her power and so overwhelmed by guilt, she does what I described, but with fantasy transformation.

A little late to comment, I know, but it's actually connected to the conversation Jin had with Mythra: Addam was not her true driver, Rex was. Yes, her abilities were out of control, but I wouldn't strictly call this fan service.
@@JustinHall1976 to add on, it’s not about a “true driver” but more how one driver was willing to go farther with the relationship (accepting her for who she is and not being afraid of her power like Addam was). Addam admits that he was always afraid of the power while Rex never was. Furthermore, Mythra is using Pneuma’s power during the final fight (as evident by the sword), and that’s why she can see into the future so far (because Pneuma can control ether and such at will).

Couldn’t get to community level 4 so here I am.
For me it was annoying community level 1, I got stressed and just left the game for some months, then I played again and end it in one day!
When Lora and Addam are sparing, the only difference from the memory of Haze and Bridgid is that instead of a camp it has grass. Except they got the tents.
And I know, Addam doesn't have his cloak, but why would he wear his cloak in this? He only had it on in the main game because his appearance was meant to be a secret, similar to Xenoblade Chronicles X and how that hero with that Monado thing in the opening of Xenoblade Chronicles X. (Fun fact, that was Elma's team leader. She served under him) We don't know that guy's identity, or appearance.
But seriously, how can you have someone like Addam connect with the characters and cast with his appearance a secret?

I'm just watching the rest of the story here cause I got up to where the story was as about 2:12:04 but after that I couldn't push myself to do all the side missions just to see more story even though I was having fun with the combat.

He's simultaneously Indol's way of creating the blade eater technology and a means for Lora to complete her character arc of learning to let go and move on from her past; kind of making her somewhat of a foil to Jin, whose whole problem is that he couldn't let go of his past and what happened to Lora. He's the catalyst for Jin and Lora to even be together in the first place. If Gort wasn't a character, the events of XC2 literally would have never happened. He was extremely important, but they left just how important he is up to the player to discover by reading between the lines.
One big shock to me was that Haze was Lora’s blade at the time which I feel dumb for not remembering because there was a reused cutscene from the main game with hooded Addam sparring against Lora and Haze. Because forgetting that fact, playing through the DLC I thought “this was the same guy who kills her 500 years later!?”. At least there more closure when Jin killed her in the main game and considered her ‘free’

Also wasn't Jin suprised in XB2 when Jin saw Toran in Land of Morytha? And didn't he say that it was Amalthus who destoryed Torna after Addam and Mythra disappeared?
GZcoo GZcoo History as the base game characters know it was altered by Indol to put all of the destruction on Mythra saying it was “collateral” from the war and the Agis just being _so_ powerful, rather than the fact that the praetor lost control of a blade that went off the rails and nuked a country. That’s part of why Cole/Minoth makes inaccurate plays about what happened even though he was personally there to witness it himself, since it would be dangerous for him to be accurate.

1:53:00 the first time Malos runs into Jin
So... What the heck happened after Mythra defeated Malos? Did everyone just kinda assume that Malos wouldn't come back? Since he did, what was he doing all those years without anyone knowing who he was? And HOW did he come back?
His core crystal was splintered, so the majority of his power was lost to him. He goes into hiding for while before eventually coming in contact with a Flesh Eater Jin. It was Jin's idea to found Torna to take revenge on the world and Malos was just along for the ride, though he did eventually develop an actual relationship with the other members, especially Jin.
Nearly 500 years pass and Malos finds out what he needs to get his power back, the other Aegis. So he and Torna set out to find her. They enlist the aid of a salvager from Leftheria to unseal the Aegis, and the rest is history.
After doing that BULLSHIT that is the level 4 community level I told myself that this ending better be one of the best endings I have ever seen. It surpassed all my expectations. So much so that I had to watch it again
I adored Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Torna started incredibly but fuck mandatory side quests.

It's the required look of the scumbag antagonist. XC 1/2 do just really love mechs with exaggerated claws though. I get It's supposed to be horrifying (it works!) but I think at that scale they'd actually snap before cutting anything.

He's just going to do stuff with Malos.
He's mainly being poetic saying their paths of pacifist vs. genocide won't cross.
But if they do in fact intertwine, on that day we will see what unfolds, what fate has in store for us.
Ty for this. I got to the parts with Malos, and I was loving it then the game breaks the pace by saying I have to do all the sides quests...pretty much lol, as most probably know by now. I love this series but I really can't be bothered to do fetch quests. Was going to do it but then I was like nah I'd rather just watch the rest of the story on youtube and play something else lol. Really bad decision to do forced side quests, I can see why they did it but still, it's a no from me! lol
I hated that part as well. I just button mashed and skipped all side quest cutscenes. It took me about 2-3 hours. Still a pain in the ass.
I just beated it, I made all those quests and when I was seeing Torna sinking, I was very sad because all those people I helped...

At final Mythra doesn't want to exist and seems like Pyra was born ? I noticed also that Mytrha moves in Torna game are the same as Pyra in xenoblade 2 in particulary for the third art move, Mytrha doesn't have the same art move in xenoblade 2 ? it's kinda strange for me I think... You posted this long ago, but here’s almost certainly what’s happening with pyras birth. Sometimes if an event is traumatic enough psychologically, a person can actually disassociate long term and take on a secondary personality that didn’t “experience” the traumatic event personally. This is the fantasy version of that happening. Mythra is so horrified of her power and so overwhelmed by guilt, she does what I described, but with fantasy transformation.
