It's pretty remarkable how strong an identity all of the characters in this show achieved in the second season and going forward. Paul Rudd is just another example of how these folks all made the characters recognizable on paper and consistent on screen.

It's a threat of losing tax money that could be used, along with a lot of jobs leaving. Even if you didn't eat Sweetums stuff, you could see it as a huge loss financially. Probably even having friends or family that would be losing jobs.
Bobby is a beacon of hope in this bipartanship cesspool we call a country. His policies may be questionable, but the decorum and enthusiasm for he has for his opponents would be a radical breath of fresh air. it's what we need.
