    A natural result equals a successful result. I like Dr Mittal’s work which is evident in the hairlines. It shows that the hype of restoring temple points is not the case with good planning. Great to see a recommended doctor in the UK for sure. Thanks for sharing Joe.

    Mani is a really ethical doctor, has some great staff and a Russ is also a fantastic patient co-ordinator, although I didn't go through with the transplant because of my medical condition at the time, I hope to go back when I fully get better.. I wish the practice all the best and would have no hesitation recommending dr mani and his staff.

    Hey Joe, quick question. In your experience, have you noticed that young men taking finasteride still continue developing facial hair as they age? I am 25 and noticed that my facial hair hasn’t seemed to progress in the last few years. I am not sure if this coincidental because of my age or if it is because of the DHT supression. Any thoughts would be great !

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  6 місяців тому

      I've not seen such a powerful effect on facial hair, but, it's impossible to know since if any lack of progress would be from the medication. FWIW, my own beard did not fully develop till my late twenties (ish) and I didn't start finasteride till I was 32 so in a lot of guys full beard development takes quite a long time. That's why I cringe when I see early to mid twenty year old guys getting full beard transplants. It's usually a waste of donor hair.

    Sir i just wanted to ask you a serious question. I done hair transplant and results are good. this is my 9 th month. i still have hair loss i notice when bathing or moving hands i shed hairs from transplanted region. not much hairs but small amount. i know that we can loose 50-100 hairs per day as a part of hair cycle. the length of my hair is long it ends till my eyebrow but some hairs that iam loosing didn't have the full length. It has medium length and its not hair breakage iam sure. Is loosing hairs with medium length when i have lengthy hair is unusual or its normal.

    I prefer Dr. Mittal's more aggressive, less recessed hairline work. Unless the patient has a poor donor region or doesn't want a youthful hairline, I think most doctors should steer patients towards straighter (but still rounded enough to look natural) hairlines more often otherwise even the untrained eye can detect some level of hair loss. There are many men who have minimally recessed hairlines their entire lives. Doctor's who tell you that you'll look weird unless your hairline is recessed have flawed thinking IMO. That's a general comment from my own experiences, not geared towards Dr. Mittal. Sure a conservative hairline is better than being bald, but why not go for perfection if your donor hair and budget can support it? That said all his work looks natural and top quality.

    • @DrManiMittal
      @DrManiMittal 9 місяців тому +1

      Thank you. However it is not a one size fits all. A hairline is like a fine wine. You want to age into it rather than out of it. You also have to look at family history how stable the hair loss how advanced the hair loss is. Bunch of things. But I also like the challenge of more aggressive hair lines just not suitable for everyone

    • @Daniel-uk6yr
      @Daniel-uk6yr 3 місяці тому

      This is nonsensical. If you do an aggressive hair line and loose too much you wont be able to have an acceptable density over all.

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  8 місяців тому

      Until I see definitive and repeatable successes on a consistent basis, I'll remain unimpressed. There have been treatments in the past that have come and gone that have had some sort of early success, only to be later shown as largely ineffective.

    There is some guy on Reddit saying that you said you've been working with Mittal for a year and is implying you coached him on how to post on forums.

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  9 місяців тому

      Ha! Right, here we go. Whomever that may be has a hearing problem, and maybe wears a tin foil hat, too. Did you hear me say that? What I said was that I've known him for a year and a half, since that's when he first contacted me about membership. Since then the only thing I coached him on was how to take better photos and I gave him suggestions on a proper camera setup. That's part of the process, because if I see the potential in a clinic that applies, but the documentation isn't clear enough, I help them improve so that if I can see the quality, so can you. The rest was him finding the time to get me the documentation I need, including CQC clinical inspection reports and other documentation from his clinic.

    Is FUT basically obsolete now?
    I know it isn’t popular among patients, but do doctors still think it achieves better yield than FUE?

    • @robmac3103

      @@hairtransplantchannel thanks for the reply🙏…If there’s no difference in yield would FUT still be a better option for some patients? I know FUT vs FUE is the perennial debate, and I always understood the advantages of FUT over FUE (I had FUT)…but wondering if things have finally shifted with technology and FUE is the way forward for the vast majority of patients now.
      Don’t expect a detailed answer here, maybe the FUE vs FUT question is worth revisiting!

    • @hairtransplantchannel
      @hairtransplantchannel  9 місяців тому

      @@robmac3103 since it's inception, all things being equal, FUE has been chasing FUT in terms of survival rates. Probably 15 years ago parity was reached with better clinics performing FUE, which is about the time I started noticing and changed my tune about the subject. In the end, yields are about the same, again, all things being equal (doctor, techs, patient physiology, etc.) so it really comes down to how much donor hair you need and what your goals are. If you have one FUT, a second one isn't out of the question but FUE is probably just as good for you if you got a pretty big number in your first pass.

      Kind of wishing I got FUE first time around (18mths ago, 2400 grafts) as the linear scar bothers me…I went with FUT thinking it was the better long term option for me (utilising the ‘safe zone’, donor preservation, graft survival, healthy donor for future procedures etc). But never mind, and still happy with the results.
      The question now is what I do for the second procedure…and also interested in FUE into the scar

      Hi this is Dr. Mani, yes but my approach would be to split a surgery into two. It depends on donor too, and how conservative the patient would be willing to go with hair line design. A crown is a bit of black hole for hair transplant procedures
