- The All Blacks vs the Wallabies, 100th test match played in Sydney in 1995, I think this is probably the game I was asked to upload, and I thought it would be hard to find, well they both were easy to find, the 99th match played in Auckland and the 100th match played in Sydney. Of course including great players like John Eales, Tim Horan, Jason Little, Jonah Lomu, Frank Bunce, Jeff Wilson, Michael Jones, Sean Fitzpatrick and up and comers like Joe Roff, David Wilson and George Gregan. I haven't watched wither game for a long time, I should sit down and do so maybe. The late great Jonah Lomu certainly hit the beast mode button in this game, was unstoppable. I have just watched this game on the TV, 23.06.2024, first time I would have seen it since it was played. Gee it needs to be in 16:9, I will get around to that at some stage, and there is a bit of skippy jumpy stuff in there. Using different software so might be able to make it a bit better. I don't actually watch it when I am transferring it, just watch until game starts, and then a bit before half time, and before second half, and at the end, to cut out ads and that is usually where copyright stuff occurs. Was one hell of a game though this one, will look better in 16:9 I am sure.
A SENS-BLOODY-ATIONAL game
One of many little things- I can’t recall a game where the ball was pilfered so often
Very fast. The two most attacking teams in the world, when the Wallabies were in their golden era
I’ll be watching this one again!
Brilliant
Thank you!! 👍🏼👍🏼
Another absolute treasure from your vault 😊😊
Thanks, interesting journey, I uploaded the 1995 world cup semi final the other day to be struck with a block on copyright grounds of the whole game, first time I have struck world rugby owning the whole vision, which is completely fine, but certainly an interesting area, generally find some of the music is copyright and anything Jonah Lomu, which again is fine. Most of the copyright stuff so far just tells me that if ever monetized the channel, someone else would collect the cash, which again, completely fine, they did the work not me, just an interesting process. Assuming though that the final 4 games of the 1995 world cup will go straight to worldwide block.
@@dishevellednomad If the final four from 95 are blocked - but no other RWC finals? - because the hosts South Africa have more complete copyright?
Anyhow, I think at least half of those four … maybe all? are already on YT
World Rugby actually holds the copyright to the one I put up, and it was the heaviest copyright I came across, and the video was blocked. I have come across World Rugby copyright before but only for sections, every one or pretty much every one of these videos has some copyright, music (looking for AI to lift the music only, no doubt it will exist). This one said it was World Rugby owning the vision, slightly different to other messages I have had. Think I have put up the 1999 semi Aus vs South Afr, it made it through, guess I could chase it down. This one actually had quite a few copyright sections, 4 from memory plus the block. I have no doubt these games are already up, but interesting how it works.
@@dishevellednomad I was thinking about your idea of upscaling to 4k. Whether you can tell the difference - or how much - depends on the size of the screen you’re watching it on, and how close you are to the screen. I can’t imagine you’d notice a difference on a phone or smaller tablet/ iPad
Or on a laptop usually watched maybe 500-700 mm away
You probably could on a large tv if you’re sitting pretty close
That’s my guesses. Probably best to try one or two and see what you experience
Your videos are generally pretty reasonable quality as is.
I’ve watched a lot worse - games from the fifties - even though the picture quality was shocking. Because they were such great games. Even though I really appreciate good quality reproduction. apart from what difference is visible, people vary in what quality they are happy enough with
Hope that helps
Certainly I am happy with watchable quality, in my case it is more about how it works, and what is the quantifiable increase in quality. It is just an interesting learning path, and very interested in seeing what can be achieved. I have Terrabytes here now, upscaling everything to 4K would be something on a storage front.
i remember this game..was awesome..aussie and nz going hard...nice
Could ya please upload the closing credits of the match with the audio unmuted please
Would you have any of the NZ 7s games from the 1998 Commonwealth Games? #RIPJonah🐐
Sorry no. I dont believe I will have any sevens footy at all.
Could ya please upload the 1994 bledisloe game and introductions please
Yeh that is gunna be a while, if I even have it, will have a look when I get back home in Oct.
If you have it, please could you upload the 1993 Bledisloe Test? Thank you
If I can find it I will upload it, however about to go away for 3 months so going to be a while.
Campese can't tackle Lomu 😮😅 the great Jonah
Not too many could handle the big man, he was freakish in so many areas, size, speed, the whole gambit really.
Do you have Wallabies v All Blacks 1983 at the SCG ?
No sorry definitely wont have that. A couple from 87 world cup and then 95 maybe through 2005 or 6
Who won the Sydney geelong match?
Geelong 23.13.151 to 11.8.74. Crowd 28600. Kardinia Park😆
Decent crowd
