😋😋 Hi, this is a traditional Caribbean Sunday dinner. I’m Trinidadian so the only thing different is the rice and peas. We use gandules (pigeon peas) but cooked the same way. Looks amazing😋😋😋😋
Hi pretty, I know you made this just for me. I can taste everything on the plate and I want seconds. Just a little tip, the cost of oxtails seems to be getting out of control everywhere. In the Bahamas, it is almost doubled in price. Another UA-camr made a doop using beef shanks, it looks just like the oxtails, and they say the taste is so similar you wouldn't know the difference and it cost way less. I hope this helps happy eating everyone and thanks for sharing my friend you made my day.

You did it again! Fabulous recipe! And ox tails became pricey once celebrity chefs started cooking them. That made them desirable (read: expensive) but there was a time when they were viewed as a cheap cut of meat and priced as such.
Lol it’s 1:07 am and I’m still hanging with you. And after seeing the cornbread because sometimes I’ve used Mayo in the cornbread, I was thinking about a good meal for Sunday so I could use this cornbread and I thought about oxtails with the butter beans etc and I strolled down and there was another great recipe for oxtails to add to the 2 great ones I already use !! Thanks 🙏 again for all that you do !!!

Here are a few solutions to address excess oil in your dish: Bake Instead of Frying: For a healthier option with less oil, consider baking the meat in the oven rather than frying it. Baking not only reduces oil usage but also helps minimize the need for excessive browning sauce or soy sauce. The high heat in the oven sears the fat, browns the meat, and ensures it turns out tender and thoroughly cooked. Delicious! Separate and Refresh the Gravy: Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the pan. Then, either make a fresh batch of gravy or strain the existing gravy to separate the oil. Transfer the strained base into another pot for further preparation. Remove Floating Oil: If you'd like to keep the same gravy but eliminate the excess oil on the surface, use a small cold metal pan or utensil. Place it gently on the surface of the oil; the oil will stick to the cold metal, allowing for easy removal. Strain and Start Anew: As a simple alternative, strain the gravy to separate the oil and then prepare a new batch from scratch. These methods can help reduce greasiness while preserving the flavor of your dish.
YEEES for using your sink & then cleaning it out with that Dawn. I don't understand why people have such a hard time with seeing this. I STILL season my chicken in the sink & then use a lil bleach, a soft scrubbing sponge thingy & dish liquid to clean it out. Not a big deal. Moving on...yes, oxtails are high as gas & we know gas is pretty high right now. Again, your commentary is just enough, not a drawn out conversation which sometimes can be too much. The end result always leaves my mouth watering. This is my favorite Jamaican plate right here, extra plantains & extra rice & peas....LAWD A MERCY!!! New subbie by the way. Keep doing your thang!!
