The floral hall wherein in 1950 I played the part of the little drummer boy in the Amateur Operatic Society production of Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers".
Brilliant episode!! We love Hornsea and we were there on holiday for a week from 5th April! Still learned lots from you! Floral hall is a wonderful community cafe too staffed by volunteers. Very good food.
My grandparents ran a boarding house in Hornsea in the early nineteen hundreds. My parents married there. My Uncle lived and worked there. Hornsea has a grotty beach. As children we holidayed there, struggling with the shingle. I lived there when my children were very young, andnow live in a small village three miles outside the town. Newbegin is pronounced Newybygin.
Thanks for the recollection of this 10 year old boy and his dog, Kenny. How I miss him.

On the Carousel site there used to be a rink wherein I played roller skating hockey. Thanks for this memory.
