Hi Pete, It's great to hear from a common sense farmer. I'm 70 and you give me pause and interest, thank you. You, have a great day.
Hope you folks start feeling better. As always your livestock always seem so contented and happy.
Your friendly banter with the little monsters, Patty, Mr. JJ and Bossy Pig always puts a big smile on my face. Thank you Pete.
I love how you explain the aspects of your operation and the changing markets. You give alot of thought to things you are a very intelligent fella
I agree
This channel is by far my favorite. Educational, tasteful humor (need more dad jokes), love/care, and a lot more. Here’s to a successful year for you and yours Pete!
No, no. I think the amount of dad jokes is just about right....
Glad everybody is doing well. All the beef is happy and the chickens are clucking happy and the pork is fine and dandy. Stay warm and safe and healthy. Love your videos.
Well said! :-)
Hello Pete!, I’m a 37 yr old small farmer and recently self employed diesel mechanic from Illinois. Times have been hard here and work is slow. I look foreword to your videos as I admire your simple but happy life. I also find myself trying to be less stressed and relaxed as you are in your videos and don’t seem to let alot of things get to you! It’s something I’ve been trying to work on in my daily life. You really are making a connection and helping people and don’t realize it. Thanks for everything sir! Have a blessed New year!
To you Sir, in the words of the OLD Navy: WELL DONE! You have no idea how much I respect you and your efforts. I will pray that your fire will be warm, that you will have good food and most of all, good health. You clearly have the proper focus. I know you more than you know as I have walked many miles in your shoes. I had them resoled before you got them. You will be well, stay the course. God be with you and yours.
May God bless your new year with much fruit, in your fields and in your soul. Please know so many people support what you and Pete are trying to do!
Bob..I sympathize for you..Illinois sucks..good luck, Jim from Illinois.
Hi Peat. I’m 13 years old and I always look forward to your videos. My dream is to farm. We have about 50 acres and right now I breed sheep and just bought some black angus cows to breed and butcher… I appreciate your look on things, and how you run your business. Thanks to you I’m able to come up with a business plan. Thanks for your videos. Happy new year 🎉
Glad you are enjoying warmer weather. Enjoyed the video. Hope you and your family continue in recovery from your illness.
@@gloriacoffey4651 what illness?
Patty looks very happy today not bossing you around. Love the content.
I kind of missed her not complaining today lol.
I'll keep you guys in my prayers for your quick return from this illness!! Thanks for taking the time while you're sick to update us on your farm!!! God bless!!
Always a pleasure to watch your channel Pete. I don't have cable TV anymore, and finding wholesome entertainment like yours is just magical!
If anyone is curious Eggs cost at Walmart in Dixon Illinois just a little over .47 cents each as of last week, The price of Eggs have gone up every week here since Covid lockdowns
Pete, I’m so happy I stumbled across your channel. Your cheerful attitude brightens my day. Keep shining!❤️
Hello Pete glad your able to catch up and relax a bit. Enjoyed your video have a great day.
One of the biggest problems for us here in our part of the state is finding processors. We have seen an explosion of people that want local farm raised beef, pork, and chicken. Most of the processors in our area are booked at least 12 months up to 18 months out. Combine that with increasing feed costs, property tax increases, astronomical fuel prices and not to mention ( as you said ) payroll increases at butcher shops to keep help, it’s a wonder any of us can show profit. Thanks so much for your videos Pete.
I didn't recognize your voice at first. Take care and get well soon, all of you!!!
I’m glad the chores are a little easier now. Especially if you’ve been under the weather.
Get well soon Pete.....
Looking forward to seeing the pig operation taking shape over the coming months, should make for some great content. Get well soon Pete
May the Lord richly bless you and your farm. We need farmers !!
Great job Pete! Hope ya'll are feeling better soon. On a farm you can't call off sick, the animals still need to be cared for.
*As always, I'm impressed with the way you treat the animals at your ranch.*
Nice to hear you are getting a little break. You guys deserve it after all the time and effort. Hope you start feeling better soon. Thanks for the video.
I appreciate the occasional shot of farm business talk along with the farm work.
Hi Pete and Hilary, my husband (35) and I (34) really truly enjoy your variety of videos. We have zero knowledge in tractors/tractor building but your style of videos and editing has made it so enjoyable for us to watch and learn the different things! From "simple" days on the farm, to tractor building/maintenance to going to the market and everything in between. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your life for those of us who have never thought about the work that goes into those kinds of things. I honestly got a little sad when you had to take Red to the butcher but I understood it was her season to go. Please keep up the wonderful videos! Looking forward to more!
Eggs have sky rocketed here in Maine. Enjoy all your videos. Hope you all get well soon.
I hope you and your family get and feel better soon!
Hey Pete I pray good health for you both. It’s always good for me to watch your videos because you bring back some sanity to my life.
Thank you 😊
Stay healthy Pete! Love the content!
Thanks for showing us JJ! He looks happy!
Good morning Pete. Between you and Tyler, I get to enjoy some super great content. Thanks again for being out there and doing this for us to enjoy.
Tyler?

Thanks Dick. I should have been clearer.
@@dickdavidson3616 Thanks for posting that. I have not seen the channel until today. Definitely will be watching.
Farmer Tyler is awesome. I'm so happy Pete introduced his channel to us!!
‘Preciate you and what you do!
Hi Pete. I hope you and your family are recovering from the bug that you reported in your last video. It has been over 6 days. Your voice definitely sounded a little bit under the weather. Get your rest. We miss you. Come back to us healthy, Sir!
Cheers, Chuck in Florida.
Back in the 1960's and early 1970's spending weeks of my childhood summers on relatives' farms were the happiest times of my not always happy youth. Those times were, most summers, our family "vacation" time. Most of that time was spent working on the farms -- baling hay from sun up to sun down, mucking out stalls, feeding livestock, doing concrete work, clearing fence lines, repairing feeders, and the list goes on. Even as a child, I loved every minute of it. I remember those times with great fondness. Your videos allow me to, vicariously at least, relive it. Thank you for investing your time and working to make these videos. It means more to me, and many of us, than you can know.
I wish you and your family nothing but the best of health and wellness for 2023. 🙏🙏
Get well soon Happy New Year.
Pete, couldn't help but notice that you looked and sounded better by the end of the video. Sure hope you and Hillary as well as the rest of your family are feeling better each day.
Pete, I hope that you and Hillary get well soon and can then enjoy some of your winter down time. God bless.
Love the channel. Got injured 15yrs ago and couldn’t take care of the farm anymore. So watching you brings back the good memories with none of the work. Hello from Texas
Pete, I send my best wishes for a swift recovery from the sickness that has invaded your homestead. My guess is RSV. It's been going around schools all over for a while now. Either way, do take care and I look forward to meeting you in person some day at market. ☮️
I think it's wet everywhere now just as everybody was cold around Christmas. Every thing must be right with the world. Patty's not yelling at you Mr. Pete.
Hope everyone gets well soon. Sorry you’re sick. Stay hydrated and have fun while it’s slow and the water isn’t freezing.
Boy, she had nothing to say!
Keep encouraging people Pete! That’s how we fight back. And let’s all grow, buy and eat LOCAL! No more big grocers etc. We can do this!!
Get well soon Pete!! Have a great day!!
This channel is a view of the real world. Sometimes ugly, sometimes beautiful, it hurts, it feels great it's hot, or cold. On and on this is the real world. No fluff nothing fake just the real world. An honest look at life. Thanks Pete and Hillary.
Happy New year pete and family
Hope you and your family feels better my friend. Waiting anxiously on the next rebuild video.
Pete my lunch break isn't the same without your videos!
Your updates about the farm, animals and the business side of things I really enjoy. I wish you guys a wonderful and prosperous new year.
I think this might very well be the first video I've ever seen featuring Patti where she's not telling you off!
So glad to hear you more upbeat and not beating yourself up about peoples negative comments. The majority of us love your channel and philosophy on life.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful and productive year!
2023 will definitely be the year of challenges! Always appreciate your positive input. Glad work on the farm has slowed...now you and Hillary can get well. Thanks again for another great video.
You have a great day too Pete! I hope you and the family feel better soon! 🤙
Me and my wife love watching your show we call you the Mr. Roger's of farming
Thank you Pete. I always enjoy all your videos. I have learned so much. Hope you and your family get well soon
Billy the Boar is the best. Need a whole series on him. :)
My family has been battling this cold too. Flushing my sinuses out with a Nettie Pot has helped me more than anything with it.
Hope you all get well soon.
Sorry to hear you all are dealing with the cold. Wow, the cost of the eight pigs you had butchered blew me away. The cost of two we had done about 30 years ago was around $175 each, that's over 250% more, if my math is correct. I expect it to increase but that is just shocking to me. Well, anyways, I hope you all get to feeling better, good luck on the new year. Thanks and have a wonderful day!
Thank you for Sharing. Have a blessed 2023!
I hope you all feel better soon. I loved to see the pigs and cows and sheep. My kid is overhearing this video so he's learning something about business. I like him to know that stuff.
Hello Peter. I just hope better health for you and your family. Be safe.
A short break from snow is nice in the winter.
Whole hog sausage, YUM. For the grands I cut rope sausage in chunks with potato chunks in the iron skillet to simmer with water until browns when water cooks off. Is the simple meal they all love
Sure hope you and your family are on the mend. Always love your videos, Pete.
Thank you for the video, Pete. Sorry you're all sick. I can definitely hear it in your voice. Hoping you all get better soon. I'm glad it's your slow time for your beautiful farm. Y'all dang sure deserve it.
Another great video Thanks Pete. Hope you all get well soon. 👍
Hope you all feel better
People are going to lose their minds on cost going up. You're very lucky that you tube brings you the income you need. Glad you are feeling BETTER. Neal
We have missed seeing you, we will be praying that you and your whole family get over this cold.
Thank you for all the hard work with the videos, we really enjoy and learn so much from you!
Happy New Year. I hope you all feel better soon. It always seems the way that when you have a minute to breathe you get sick. Love your channel. Thanks from Australia 🇦🇺
❤🎉Blessings and Blessings and Blessings to you and Ms. Hillary and all your farming business adventures.
Thanks again for your videos.
We really enjoy a day in your farm life!! Love the jokes too.
Good afternoon Pete. Thanks for sharing your life.
Thanks for the update, Pete. Hope everyone gets better soon!
We are small beef farmers in Ontario canada. Look forward to each video. We have 24 in our herd. We sell the beef by word of mouth. We are amazed by your market there. It is beautiful. My husband does all the tractor fixing and repairs. We love the tractor videos too. We have an old David Brown . Cheers!
I would rather explain price and quality one time rather than apologize for lack of quality forever! You are on the right track Pete! God bless you and your loved ones!
Feel better Pete, Hillary and kids!
I'm sorry that you folks have been ill. Get well soon! :)
It is good to know that your business is doing well. Your videos are a ray of sunshine.
I suppose that the only people who miss the cold and snow are skiers, snowboarders,
snowmobilers and those people who have a snowplowing or winter recreation business.
Thanks again Pete and Hillary for a summary of things that might seem boring to some folks. But as a person who has been in management or self-employed for just about all of my working life, I know there is a lot more to farming than just raising some animals and selling them at market to the consumers. As always, your videos touch on what I would call the finer points that not everyone may be interested in. But to be successful at anything we do, it is always valuable to learn from the other guys who are doing the same thing. Success is often born from networking and sharing ideas and knowledge. Your videos accomplish exactly that. Great job. May 2023 be a happy and successful year for you both.
I am very thankful to have stumbled onto your family based farm operation....I think it was initially from when you were restoring one of your tractors..... then naturally, your daily farming activities where I learned more about livestock than I ever knew about before. Thanks for producing good, thoughtful educational and entertaining videos.
Pete Happy NY! Hope ya feel better!!
You guys take good care of yourselves and kick that crud to the curb. I could hear it in your voice right away that you were struggling a bit. Enjoy the quieter season. You might need to find another little project after you mop up the Super C. Patty was amazingly quiet and seemingly content today! Amazing.
I love seeing your videos that you and your wife do together! Don't get me wrong Pete your great, but I love watching you two interact! Nice couple!
Thanks Pete for the vlog. I look forward to every post. Happy new year. Get well soon.
Pete, man, I hate feeling the way you sound. Hopefully, you all recover quickly. I don't comment much more on your videos simply because reading them must be so time-consuming, but on the off chance you fo read this please know your farm life and story means more to most of us than it's ever likely you'll know. As always, I look forward to another year of Just a Few Acres Farm in my house.
Oh Pete! Get well soon. You and Hilary.
We too are fighting this virus (not the 19). Seems to be all over the place
I'm excited for the future of your pork operation. I'm guessing we'll be rewatching oler videos and thinking oh yeah, he used to do it that way.
Looking forward to sunday grazing time come spring. Get better Pete and Hillary. Hopefully soon.
Hi Pete
Hope you are all feeling better. Miss your videos! Having withdrawals!
Gee, Patty looked fetching in her hair/ear adornment. 😁 Those feeder pigs seemed content; that's a major feat. JJ! Ah, I do love pigs. Happy New Year to all the family. Thanks for sharing, and hang on the sickness does eventually go away. 🤔🤔Well, that's what my doctor keeps telling me. Stay safe.
Patty is a very nice looking animal. There’s something about horns on a cow that I really like.
Hi Pete and Hillary health is all keep that family safe
Hope you all feel better soon!
Hope y’all are feeling better Pete. Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing them with us
Can't wait for the hog pen build!!!!!
As always Pete, I find your candor and honesty to be very refreshing in these times. I feel for your struggles to adapt to the surges in the economy as we do so as consumers. These are tough times for us retired folks. We don't have the advantages of changing our "business" plan to accommodate the changes in the economy. I love your website, your farm and your family. Please keep well and doing what you have been doing.
Hope you and your family feel better Pete... Prayers for all of you.
Pete if I only had one channel to watch it would be yours. I like the way you think and the way you run you farm. Thank you
Hope you and the family are much better by now.
