Great interview. Considering the fact that Africa still has a low rate of financial inclusion, it presents fintechs in the region with enormous opportunities.
There are lots of opportunities that I believe investors would be interested in. One example I thought of recently is that currently, the economic situation has a lot of Ghanaians worrying about where to keep their money. Most are purchasing FX as a store of value however there aren't investment opportunities for FX in country. If a Fintech were to find a way for local citizens to participate in the Global Stock Marketst (E.g purchase stock of the NSE) that would be unique offering. Obviously, it would be tricky to accomplish and a lot of thought has to be given on the operational side. But once its figured out it would be a game changer for most. The easier example would be financial inclusion. i.e. finding ways to include more people in the formal financial sector. Hope that helps.
