My Uncle bought me this album. I was 10. It was life changing. I'm closer to 60 now, and still prefer "heavy" music. Bombarded my Mother with the record when I was a kid. RIP Uncle Kevin. Thank you.
I remember a guy long ago sending me these lyrics written out on pen and paper-when you had to listen to a song over and over to get the lyrics right, lol! It’s not like today when u just look them up online. That was back around 1987, and today we’re enjoying our first baby granddaughter!
I was 10 years old in 1975 my brother and I would listen to this song weekly basis around 8 or 9 pm in our bedroom close to bedtime. It has always touched a cord within my mind great, great song. 5:11
I just discovered this song 2 days ago and I can’t stop listening to it. The lyrics are freaking great, but it’s the second half from 4:49 and on that gets me in the feels. Damn this is a good song!
I had this album in the 80s, and this song did not stand out then. But now after 52 years, only life experience can bring about the power this song holds. It is perfect.
Had this album on 8 track. What an amazing, haunting, disturbing song. Some of the synthesizer is very similar to Pink Floyd WYWH, released the same year. Amazing album. My favorite track is "Miss Misery ".
I bought the 8track lol of this and boy did I wear it out. I also had the LP then the CD. It was my anthem most of life. Nazareth was an underrated mega band. Still love them. Judas was an original 12th disciple of Jesus Christ. He was a soothe saying, deceptive sitting there taking the Cup of Salvation and eating the Bread of life. The shortly after the Last Supper, he snuck away to return back with Christ's murderer. This is an actually ancient reference to the level of evil people go to ruin and destroy lives. Be careful who you choose the people around you wisely, know their truth! "Please don't Judas me" is to put someone evil in your life and later they betray you to the wolves.
This is one of my favorite songs this song is very powerful the lyrics are great
A real fine compocision, from when the King was a knight.

Weil Viele mit dem Text und der Tiefe der Worte nichts anfangen können.

Я познакомился с этой композиций в 1977году летом и был потрясён мощью этой песни, заслушивал её буквально "до дыр" на плёнке магнитофона. Браво!
