Asake is Yoruba,
He's singing about how tough it was on the come-up.
He's giving those left in the hood; Palazzo, Jiggy & Berger, words of encouragement.
This is an ode to the hood.
For the interpretation of the song, I think different parts mean different things. For example, the first verse is Asake saying some prayers and also saying things like "who doesn't like designers, who wouldn't like to raise their shoulders, basically, who wouldn't like to make it big time but you still have to be grateful for where you are.
•The prechorus talks about being smart, sharp and having no time for dulling, it also talks about putting his enemies to shame.
•In the chorus, Asake mentions he not being the type of the ladies (probably before he became popular) and how he would have died if not for God. It also talks about how different girls have different type in guys. You have the one that want ajebutter(posh), while you have the one that wants ajepako(hood guys), you also have the ones that like a guy with the d*ck size of a cucumber and the ones that prefer guys with the d*ck size of an anaconda. I'm sorry for the vulgar words
•The post chorus talks about him having access to a lot of girls (20) and he doesn't know whom to choose. Now, he's the one who has too many girls to choose from unlike in the past when he wasn't the ladies' type
The second verse basically talks about how he's on a high, money is flowing in, and he's known even overseas
This is based on my interpretation, so it might not be accurate 👍🏾
Very accurate.❤️❤️👍🏻
Very accurate
Nice
Accurate
Asake is from Nigeria. You should reaction to the song he did with Burna Boy - sungba remix 🔥
Just came across your channel today a Nigerian 🇳🇬 watching from Germany
Amazing reaction 🔥
Asake and DJ spinal are both from Nigeria the beat is an Amapiano beat with a touch of afrobeat
Dont forget the fuji type of chorus.

Thank you
Nigerian music
Great reaction. Asake is a new Phenom from Nigeria. React to Omo Ope from Asake. It's magnificent. Afrobeat is where music is headed today.
This is Africa! SPINALL (DJ) & Asake (Recording artiste) are both from Nigeria. The record is a fusion of Afrobeats (West African Sound) & Amapiano (South African Sound). Amapiano is a sub-genre of House music that's why you can hear the House influence. The song is basically about self-reflection, that's why it predominantly has a happy feel to it. African music is the future! Nice reaction bro.
Sir this all Africa right here, a fusion of West and South in that Asake is from Nigeria but elements of the song have Amapiano log drums infused too. Amapiano is a sub genre of GQOM from South Africa. That is the house/dance influence you are hearing. I would say America is actually late to the party,
Man said all of Africa then named 2 countries.
@@Tu51ndBl4d3 “all Africa” and “all of Africa” mean two completely different things. Comprehension is very important
Amazing reaction 🔥.. I think the instrument you were trying to remember is the violin,
Lol.. I see you already remembered 😅
The song is a combination of afrobeat, amapiano (a South African sound) and Fuji(a Nigerian sound)
The struggle...
Davido is doing it
Afrobeat. Listen to burna boy
