Congratulations Joe! I was in the same boat as you as a kid, around 45 years ago, I was 6ft 2 inches tall (188cm) with a similar build (I was just under 60 kg). You know how it was, always picked on, always last to be picked for team sports, etc, etc. So I started off buying a 'chest expander' and a 'bullworker'. Then I bought a few weights, and got started on my journey. After a few small gains here and there, I felt good about myself, and developed a bit of confidence. So I joined a gym (unfortunately, gyms back then weren't 24/7, so we had to work around their hours), and took up boxing as well, and NEVER looked back. I never got to your level, but I did get bigger, and developed a physically pleasing body. I was getting respected by larger blokes, and noticed by women. So I kept on going, and still do to this day. I'll be 60 years old this year, and I'm still in my home gym anywhere between 6-12 times a week, as well as working a full time physically challenging job. I'm now 118 kgs with a reasonably decent body for a man of my age. I'll probably be working out until long after retirement, and until I'm physically incapable of doing it anymore. It has become a lifestyle, and If you do it on your own terms, you will, like me, still look forward to working out year by year. Keep on being an inspiration, because God knows this world needs more young people like you at the moment. P.S. There's nothing like the feeling I still get, every time someone says here comes 'The Big Fella', or 'The Unit', or 'you're security for the night' whenever you go to parties, because you NEVER forget how far you've come, and from whence you came. Cheers Joe, best of luck with your future, and Keep on Pumping!!!

Just wanted to drop you this comment. You became an Inspiration for me, as a fellow skinny dude I really started this journey on the gym thanks to you, I started by watching a video where you talked about how you gained weight and I magically started to gain weight by drinking protein shakes like you with milk, fruit, ice cream and protein. I couldn't believe how quickly I started to gain those Kg that I for so long. I was 25 y old and i was 49Kg for 175cm, I was skinny as fuck and felt so embarassed about myself.
You were the one who inspired me for real, I decided once and for all to start this journey at the gym following your examples and tips, and now I weight 67 Kg which is AMAZING and I'm very proud of myself because I finally stopped blaming myself for the way I used to be, thank you Joe, from the very bottom of my hearth.

I'm 16 on the same journey still skinny but the progress is happening keep grinding everyday and this time next year you can be 75kg shredded or a higher weight but at a slightly higher body fat andway your physique will be great

@@LKEPROD I already stopped drinking soothies of course because they are a lot caloric, but when I started drinking them i gained weight so fast for the first time in my life, and I realized that I can finally gain some weight, I tought I had some kind of condition or illness because I struggled a lot even tho I used to eat a lot. When I finally started to gain weight for the first time I decided then to grind on the gym and start eating healthy and now I'm on the best shape of my life.

Some people can't understand why people record themselves working out so much. At one time they didn't look that way. It's hard to see your own progress. Filming it you see the changes over time. If you ever been unhappy with your body and see small progress you get hooked. You keep going and going

It's been 7 months since I started going to the gym. I used to be fat and I'm still not the way I wanna be, but I can see small gains just like you did.
Honestly, there are days that I just wanna stay at home and don't want noboby to see my body, 'cause I'm ashamed of it.
I think about quitting very often, but if I do, I'll be the same fat kid I used to be and I'm kinda stuck because of it.
I used to be bullied and I'm still am sometimes, but I believe that someday I'm gonna prove all of them wrong.

I was the bullied kid till I found my true spirit inside. I started boxing, gained muscle and confidence. Went 39-0 in amateurs but had a massive accident that nearly cost me my right hand so had to quit. Took 8 years to completely heal properly, got depressed and started drinking and got hooked on morphine. Meet my gf and came back to reality, I can't box professional but I still train. Good on ya bro for keeping at it ❤

Me too. Stayed with the iron for years. The real change after busting my butt for years in weight rooms was after doing one cycle of oral d-bol. Squat went from 275, 1 rep to 12 reps, 6 sets with 405 in 4 weeks. And it was easy. Didn't even break a sweat. No belt, no knee wraps. Never lost the strength or power after just one cycle. Stayed with me my entire life. I'm late 60's now. I still lift. Like it or not, steroids takes one to another level, beyond belief. I never abused or continued use. In my opinion, if one has trained seriously for 5 - 10 years, then do a cycle. Game changer.
