I like to hold back a bag of candy corn for Thanksgiving. After dinner each person gets five pieces of candy corn and has to say something they are thankful for for each piece. I also buy lots of extra and use it to make homemade Butterfingers. I like Brach's harvest corn just for eating, the pumpkins for cake and cupcake decorations, and the original to turn into Butterfingers, but I like to eat it too.
Wait, I need that recipe!!! Butterfinger?! Yum! I like to mix candy corn and roasted peanuts, grab a handful, it tastes just like a bite of a payday bar 💛🤍🧡
@@valerief1231 You do need a kitchen scale for it, and I use silicone square candy molds for it, but you can use a greased foil lined 9x9 for it. Weigh 18.5 oz of candy corn into a microwave safe dish and melt it in increments of 30 seconds until it's hot and bubbly. Stir in an 18 oz jar of creamy peanut butter to the melted candy corn and mix until well combined. Press it into your molds or pan, and freeze until cooled. Cut it into small bars or squares if you need to. Melt some chocolate flavored coating discs or blocks, and dip your butterfinger centers into that. Set them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper to cool. You can use real chocolate to dip them in if you know how to work with it.
Not only did I not know there is Jelly Belly candy corn, I didn’t know there were different flavors! One looks like Grape - I can’t imagine it! As for the question, when I would buy candy corn at Halloween, I bought what the store offered. Too bad - I could have bought different flavors at other stores! I can’t really eat candy or carbs any more but I have great memories! Kids today don’t know what they missed back then!
I use to ❤ love candy corn, until I found out that they use bug secretions for coloring. It is also called confectionery glaze, and Red 40. Once I found out they used that in candy corn I have stopped eating it or any candy with those ingredients (and that ingredient is in SO many candies).
Brachs is my absolute favorite brand of candy corn because that’s what I grew up eating and I’m now 70 years old and I still get candy corn every year for Halloween
If you like Butterfinger candy bars, try this. Add 12oz Candy Corn, and 3/4 cup of creamy Jiff peanut butter into a microwave safe bowl. ZAP for 45sec. STIR. ZAP 45sec. STIR. Continue until you get it all melted. You may need to add a bit more peanut butter to get a spreadable consistency. Don't ZAP for too long at one time or it might seize up on you and you will have problems spreading it out on your flat surface. When the mix is totally combined, with a rubber spatula, or frosting knife, spread this on to a parchment paper [or silicone] lined baking sheet about 1/2 in thick. Use a knife to mark 1 inch squares. When cool enough to slice, cut into squares. Or just forget the squares and break apart like peanut brittle. In a separate bowl, melt your favorite chocolate chips, or bars on the stove using a double boiler. Dip the squares and set aside to dry. Save 1/2 of the work by omitting the 2nd bowl...see below. *My method: After I spread the candy, I just lay 3 Hersheys plain chocolate bars, or 1 cup of your favorite chocolate chips; spread on top of the butterfinger sheet when they are melted. This tastes exactly like a butterfinger! I'm not a fan of chocolate, so I use white chocolate chips to spread on top. This recipe is also good for the bottom crust of an Ice Cream Cake, or chocolate cream pie. Add some crumbled butterfinger candy to the top of your creation for a fun decor.
My favorite Halloween candy. I can eat only one Brach's bag a year (two heart attacks and advanced age). I've always wanted to see their factory. Now I have. Thanks.
I normally get them in bulk. I found Brach's on sale just after Halloween ( it was the Harvest mix) There were lots of broken ones and ones missing the white tip. The pumpkins were hard and dry. But my favorite, the ones with brown tops did have my favorite chocolate flavor (the brown bulk ones were regular flavor).
If you like Payday bars, try mixing roasted peanuts and candy corn 🧡🤍💛 you can customize the mix, I like about 10 peanuts to one candy corn, but I don’t measure it out lol, I make little bags every fall and give them out as little treats to my kids, grand kids and friends.
Jelly Belly is by far the best. It tastes more like honey. That said, I've never had the original from Wunderle. Zachary's texture is gritty, flavor is lacking. Brach's is okay, but no honey that I can taste. Honestly haven't read the labels so they may not even use honey, but the flavor is there in the Jelly Belly. I dispense it at the grocery display so no label there. I'll have to check out the original!
A local bar would hand out candy to the trick or treaters on Halloween while continuing to serve drinks. Candy corn was one of the stapels and I've always hated it.
The video is great, but it still doesn't tell us how the candy was made 140 years ago. The person who first created the candy is truly amazing. Just goes to show you that everyone has a unique creative side to them.
Brachs is the only one I know. Haven't seen the other brands but maybe my grandma bought them because todays candy corn doesn't seem as rich flavored as when I was a kid.
My son loves the stuff but he's not allowed very much. I won't waste caleries on this kinda treat for myself so I don't touch the stuff. But as a nail tech, the design is a blast on nails 👌
The chocolate candy corn pieces you see have changed drastically. When I was a kid, those pieces used to be really chocolatey. Now, not so much. They are lighter in color now. They don’t taste as good.
I LOVE Candy Corn the original and the different flavored ones and the cute little Pumpkins
I love candy corn and that harvest with the brown tip hits a little different. Those pumpkins need be made year round!! 😂
@angelbabe1977 I agree 💯
I always wanted to work in a factory. Making my favorite candy seems fun. I❤️CANDY CORN
Brach's
Nothing but the best!
I do not celebrate Halloween, but I love candy corn😋😋
I see it as an Autumn candy 😊
I love candy corn!!
Brachs is the only one I like, but I like it a lot! A friend of mine adds it to her homemade Chex mix.
Try mixing roasted peanuts and candy corn for a Payday dupe it’s delicious!
🧡🤍💛
Brach's is my favorite. I love it mixed with peanuts!
Brach's is absolute best!
Brachs is my favorite ❤
Same here
Same!!
Candy corn is one of the best. I remember candy corn when I was a kid. I wanna see how they make those mellow pumpkins a sweet version of candy corn.
I love candy corn yum!
I don't have a preference on brand, but I do like to mix candy corn with dry roasted peanuts.
Yes! That's what I do too. I mix candy corn with dry roasted peanuts. It's so delicious! It's almost like a Payday candy bar.
@susanvan1672 exactly!
I’ve never tried that but it sounds wonderful! 🥰
@ruthmaryrose oh it is, you'll like 😁
Wow!

Thank you so much for producing this video. I found it really interesting and informative. I really appreciate it
Call video. Thanks for sharing. Candy corn is my fave. Don’t know how I didn’t have any this year for Halloween lol
Don’t worry I had enough for both of us 😅I’m on my 3rd 2.5pound bag 🤣
"Call video?" I don't think it has a phone! 🤣
✝️🤍🎉Holy Psalm 91 Candy Corn reminds me of Thanksgiving 🤍✝️🌍🌎🌏🤍🦅🇺🇸🍀🍀🍀

I love to mix candy corn with peanuts
Together they taste like a Payday candy bar.
Brachs is my favorite. It's the perfect texture and flavor. It's the inly one I buy & enjoy 3 at once 😋
A is the only kind of candy corn I eat. Eating some now while I'm watching how it's made. It's my favorite Halloween candy ❤.
Google and you'll see some of the ingredients is from bug secretion
Fond childhood memories 😊 the candy corn, the little pumpkin, and the chocolate piece.
I haven't wondered HOW candy corn is made nearly so much as I wonder WHY it's made.
Not a favorite of mine...yuck !

I sure enjoyed this video. I like candy corn.
Peanut brittle, homemade of course,is one of my favorite candy.😊
I love candy corn! I’d eat more of it if it wasn’t so expensive.
amazing process
Brachs is my absolute favorite brand of candy corn because that’s what I grew up eating and I’m now 70 years old and I still get candy corn every year for Halloween
1. Brach 2. Zachary, Miss the chocolate stars from my childhood that do not taste the same today.
Walmart still sells the stars! I have to get them every year for my husband. I'm sure they changed though
If you stack several layers of candy corn together in a circle, white points in, it resembles an ear of corn..
Candy corn is yummy and my favorite. I buy Brachs. I eat three at one time.

Great. Thanks.
I don't eat much of it, but candy corn has always been one of my favorites
Love this candy! Brack's is the only brand I ever see where I am.
I love candy corn 😊
A - Brach’s is the only brand I will eat as it is slightly less sweet to me and I’m 68 and still bite off one color at a time. 😜❤️❤️👍👍
Me, too..ite one color at a time!
Amazing how this solid corn syrup has lasted so many years.
My favorite Halloween candy. I can eat only one Brach's bag a year (two heart attacks and advanced age). I've always wanted to see their factory. Now I have. Thanks.

Candy corn is my favorite candy
Beach’s brand is my favorite.

Love this candy. I have 6lbs on my counter as we speak.
And you know some of the ingredients are lac bugs
Have not had candy corn in a long time long time!! Years
Brach's is the best!
Brach's is definitely the best
A local bar would hand out candy to the trick or treaters on Halloween while continuing to serve drinks. Candy corn was one of the stapels and I've always hated it.
What is that background music called between 04:04-5:45 minutes?
Not that I need an excuse to buy candy corn, but I use it for fuel when running long distance events!
“Each piece is inspected”? I seriously doubt it.
Next to caramels, corn candy my favorite (since 1940s). Always keep a dish full during Fall. Tho I think chickenfeed would suite♥️ only had Brachs
Oh yes!
I tried it last week but it was so sweet I could not manage to finish to eat it because of much sweetness
The video is great, but it still doesn't tell us how the candy was made 140 years ago. The person who first created the candy is truly amazing. Just goes to show you that everyone has a unique creative side to them.
Love to bake with candy corn
Pls share a recipe or two!
Chicken feed, I like that name 😊
I had no idea there were so many other flavors.
Brach's the only brand I'm familiar with.
Would love to try Wunderlay
So for now Brachs
Jelly Belly is my favourite🇦🇺
Brach love the flavor
Brachs is the only one I know. Haven't seen the other brands but maybe my grandma bought them because todays candy corn doesn't seem as rich flavored as when I was a kid.
Brach’s is best!
Brach's,the flavor ❤❤❤❤
Lac bug's secretion is used
Remember when Lucy and Ethel took a job at the chocolate factory? 😅
All as long as I get my corn❤🎉😊
I used to eat candy 🍬 corn 🌽 all the time ⌚ but it's not really good for your teeth.
Neither is any chewy sugary things. Or soda , or cookies , or ice cream …
But it's good for your soul.
Be sure to take your teeth out before you indulge in them.
Moderation is the key.You have know when to stop eating too much candy corn.
One pint of Ben and Jerry's is enough.😂
👩🏻💻🇺🇲Brach's of course, the flavor is buttery not just sugary.😊
They use the secretion of lac bugs don't believe me Google it
They use the secretion of lac bugs
I heard him say that some percent eat the white tip first and i was like omg thats what i do lol never thought about it before lol
October 30th is National Candy corn day 🌽
Beach’s is the most common in the stores I go to, and after Halloween 🎃 what ever brand is on sale.
I’ve never even heard of candy corn 🤣
Brach's makes the best candy corn.
Brachs has moved the manufacturing of candy corn to Mexico.
How will the tariffs affect candy corn prices?
Brach's is the best❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My son loves the stuff but he's not allowed very much.
I won't waste caleries on this kinda treat for myself so I don't touch the stuff. But as a nail tech, the design is a blast on nails 👌
I've found broken candy corn in the bag I bought. How does this happen? My brand is Brachs
When they package it and it gets handled
I was in the 17% group, apparently. 😂
A . Brachs
They make the best
The chocolate candy corn pieces you see have changed drastically. When I was a kid, those pieces used to be really chocolatey. Now, not so much. They are lighter in color now. They don’t taste as good.
I savor one color at a time (even though they taste the same). I just enjoy nibbling that way...
Well once a year isn’t too bad for your teeth. I prefer the brand “D”. I believe in tradition!😉
Brach’s only. It’s so soft and fresh.
How many different flavors of candy corn are there?
one
@zyxw2000 I've seen brown, orange and white candy corn and green and red ones too.
@@robertnachtman139 But they all taste the same. You asked about flavor.
thx for video my science teacher used it for class.
Lazy teacher!
Okay how many of you out there would try to each piece in sections. 😅😅
My fiance andI fight over this delicious treat lol
You know it's made with the secretion of lac bugs
