Great Solo
It really was and I actually liked it better than the couple I have heard her play as some years older. The wonderful groove got everything flying and after that she just had to land it safely and every listener was happy! 8)
She's a doll and as she gets older and stronger, she will continue to get better...you go girl!!!
I think it's time for her to get with a mature jazz band,this will bring her further insight and feel. let her swing a band for real.. i believe she is ready!GO GET EM Kanade!!best widhes

Jazz drumming is a whole different ball game than any other type of drumming. Kanade is not a jazz drummer (yet), BUT what she does do that is so enjoyable to hear is make music as she plays. Her style and elegance come through. But as jazz goes, it will take a while before she is able to fall into the arena of being a jazz drumming (if that's something she even wants to do). Until then, though...Go Kanade!

Not a jazz drummer yet? Kanade has been a jazz drummer since she was 3 and taught herself to play Spain by Return to Forever. Maybe you should rethink your comment, Kanade is one of the best jazz drummers in the world today, her ability to play rhythms and syncopation is unmatched, and she has been playing with adult jazz musicians since she was 6.
