As an ex-christian I would say the same for hinduism. Ive been reading the Bhagavad Gita and there's so much in it that reminds me of Christianity And through most of it, it feels monotheistic even. And theres a heaven and hell?? I was shocked i didnt know that. But the major difference is that you arent tormented in hell for eternity It is temporary, and so is heaven from what i grasp. The endless cycle of life and death makes more sense to me than just one chance or you'll burn forever. When i read the Gita, it reminds me more of Christ than the Old Testament does. Reconsider your decision. The bible has wisdom, but it isnt perfect. There is alot of cruel things in the bible, that just cannot be defended.

Jesus, the one who died and lives, will teach you how to love and how to see people. He who screamed for forgiveness on the cross can teach you how to forgive. He loves us all, even those who don't believe in Him, He loves so deeply💓

Hey, I feel you brother. I am from a Buddhist majority country. My family is Buddhist and my extended family is also Buddhist except me and my brother. We are Christians. I have accepted Christianity just half a year ago and it was the best thing I have ever done in my life. My family and I don't agree on many things but fortunately my mom accept me and my brother as Christians. I sometimes feel the pressure from the outside because my country's traditions and culture are rooted in ancient folk beliefs or you can say paganism and Buddhism. I refuse to pray to the shrine because that would be the biggest sin to ever commit against God according to the 10 commandants. People would say that I am no longer preserving my country's traditions, culture and heritage but I have something to say. I ONLY SERVE GOD. I ONLY DO HIS WILL. I don't believe in old folk beliefs that were passed down from thousands of years ago because someone was confused or they had an encounter with evil spirits. Brother, I really encourage you to pursue this path because he who endures till the end will gain eternity. Jesus is the only way of life. He is the truth. He is the bread of life. Jesus saves. He wants all of us to repent. Trust in Him because Jesus said “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
