I only focus on the complicated for a certain amount of time. In between, I do mundane chores, such as dishes, laundry, swivel sweep, dust, etc. This gives my mind time to refresh itself.

I honestly think a lot of this stems from our education system. We are not taught to critically think, but instead blindly follow instructions and do as we are told. I'm astounded by the number of very talented and great people in the professional world that do not try to think out of the box, frankly because they have never been challenged to do so. I love your channel, thanks for sharing this video.

The rest of my day starting now is: toss out all the big bags of cloths and shoes, and then complete the last 4 pages of my book, do the last editing of the book, then editing the other two books, and the pic out the covers for all three books, then journal my day, pick out the next 3 prompts for my poetry writing challenge, research for my next book, smoke cbd while listening to life coaches and do some grooming and sleep.

    1. Work expands to fill the time allotted to it. Have strict deadlines.
    2. Work smarter (take a step back to spend time planning and optimizing)
    3. Become a "No" man
    4. Avoid multitasking, use time blocking
    5. Take the marathon approach to working hard - work steadily and reward yourself for it.

The sponsor LASTPASS honestly creates efficiency. I trust their security and use LASTPASS on several platforms. Back in the day I maybe had 3 passwords, which isnt the case anymore, it's in the hundreds. LASTPASS also will create tricky passwords for me.
In productivity I did find the calendar app and reminder app on my phone has become second nature in planning my time accordingly.
I was a fan of DAYTIMER paper planners and had to get used to the digital shift.
Get stuff done, but have some fun.

Your new b-roll and cinematic footage in the last couple of videos are dope, BUT you have such a great ability to talk and explain yourself fluently for long periods of time without any jumpcuts (unlike most youtubers) - I think it's one of your greatest strengths, I actually felt that the b-roll in this video made me lose concentration unlike your past videos. so even though it seems like a higher quality production, I'm not sure it's actually better. hehe funny also relates to this video's topic - working harder to do a task that can be done in a simpler way.

    Great explanation!
There's nothing more I hate than people telling me how "busy" they are at work. Most people have no clue about the difference between "being busy" and being productive. When it comes to understanding how to be efficient, it's nuclear physics to them.

  • @ayo_k32

I agree with being a "no" person, because I've been that way for a long time. But do take the time to say "yes" to the things you really want to do. I've found that I spent too many years saying no when I easily could have said yes and created great memories. But overall I do agree with you

  • @ClaudioBernasconi

I find myself procrastinating tasks that I don't like. It often holds me back from completing what I want to complete because I first need to do something different. I guess it's best to accept that work is not always fun and that the sooner the boring or discouraging tasks are done, we can start with what brings us forward on our journey.

Great time management tips!! Talking about Parkinson's Law, imagine if we knew how much time we have left to live. There's a great sci-fi movie In Time in which basically people know how much time they got before death, and in the movie time replaces money: the richer you are - you've got more time, the poorer you are - less time, so the poor are like more productive because of that.
