- President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the escalation in Ukraine was not caused by Russia’s actions, but by the 2014 coup in Ukraine, which was primarily supported by the United States. He pointed out that the U.S. had publicly disclosed the amount of funding allocated to prepare and organize the coup. Putin criticized Western leaders for deceiving Russia over the past eight years, citing the Minsk agreements that were supposed to provide a peaceful resolution to the conflict. He noted that European leaders later admitted they used this time to arm Ukraine. Putin also highlighted the increasing involvement of NATO in the conflict, with direct participation from military personnel, including the use of high-precision weapons like ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles. According to him, Ukraine's military cannot operate these advanced systems without the support of NATO officers, relying on satellite reconnaissance, target designations, and Western-made software.
