I have been watching some of your older videos because every video is such a wonderful learning experience for me. This one was especially helpful in learning how to stretch the paint. I am having problems with over stretching so I recently tried stretching before swiping and was happier with my results than before. Thank you as always for these wonderful videos. You are such an inspiring artist, Molly.
Holy cow! That’s massive ! You have an amazing hubby helping you like that. I’m sure someone would buy that, even if it’s not the original clients. 🥰🇦🇺
I really love that you show us the pieces that they did not come out the way you wanted! I am very new to the Cell Activator and swiping (and fluid art in general) but I realized when my Cell Activator mix is a little bit thicker, my cells hold their shape better and they don't sort of disappear! Love your work 😍😍
Well Molly it may not be what you were going for but you and your husband are a good team and I’m sure you will still be able to sell it everyone’s taste is different and I think it is beautiful and will certainly go well in someone’s home great job thanks for sharing
Well, I think it’s pretty. I love the colors. I think you’re right about the lacing. It needs to be big enough to be in proportion to the size of the canvas. Handsome helper. What we could see!
This one the work in progress is beautiful in its changes. It's dynamic. It says you have a good marriage to be able to do this so in sync with another.
Wow Molly, 3 2litre jugs of paint , that’s a lot of paint , braze lady to tackle such a huge piece , might not have been wat u were going for but this video shows us all why we all love u and love wat u do , might not have been a success but it’s still a gorgeous piece none the less , happy Sunday Molly great job
It is very pretty, Molly. Commissions are NOT what I prefer either. I would rather play in the paint! LOL🤣 Have fun with it, then have someone say, "that one's mine!" or "I have dibs on that one!" Thank you, Molly
You are being very critical of this FANTASTICALLY COLORFUL AND COOL PAINTING!!!! I love it and I am sure many others do too. Those colors are so great together and I do not think the swipes are too small by any means. It is a super painting. Oh my, I cannot imagine you not keeping this painting.
I understand its not what the client wanted but I absolutely love it! In my opinion, It looks like Birds eye view of water that has the reflection of a sunset and trees in it and somebody threw pebbles in the water and it rippled and splashed causing the colors to move n distort and u captured that moment beautifully, in this painting.
As an artist myself, this is absolutely stunning! Your creation is one of a kind, the colors are just gorgeous, the movement is wonderful, and although it is a commissioned piece, you are an artist and an artist creates and goes with the flow and that's exactly what you did. I know you can sell this to someone else as this is absolutely beautiful!🌺
Well, it looks like i will be making this painting a 3rd time! Lol. The third painting will be called goldilocks! I like to show my successful paintings and the not so successful ones in the hopes you can learn from them all! Dont give up if you are struggling. It happens to all of us! Learn from your experiences and keep going! Happy Painting
I so agree! I'm not sure if I want to do them anymore. I had four 30X40 canvas that I made. They picked out the colors. I liked them, but when they came to the studio I felt they got distracted by other paintings I had wet. They liked those colors better.
Hi Molly, you always make beautiful paintings. This painting is pretty love the colors, I've been wanting to acrylic painting but my lower back n crapping of my fingers has put hold on a lot in my daily activities. I have to take one day at time. 💛💙💚
It’s crazy to me that your client doesn’t like these. I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to buy them, especially the first one it was absolutely stunning!!! I hope third times a charm for you🤞🏼 They all are home runs to me!!!
I really liked the final result on this one. Certainly from a distance when looking at the whole painting, it looks to me like a beachy underwater garden. The texture of the lacing gives it a sandy feel to it for me, and that pale blue couldn't be more perfect as tropical seawater. Beautiful.
It’s beautiful Molly …so much life and movement in it ! Hubby did a great job ! It’s very difficult to satisfy a customer with fluid art ! Love it all the same ! Your videos are so inspiring ! ❤️
Thank you for sharing, as I’m about to do my 3rd 40x60 canvas because I haven’t gotten the color I’m looking for. Was getting discouraged until seeing this video. Thank you so much for your transparency. Now back to it again 😁
I admire the size! I am also loving large sizes of paintings and struggling with paint moving too much after I leave it. On large canvas this is more risky :D but I still do it!
It’s beautiful! Have you tried swiping with two cell activators? What I mean is that if you only want pops of orange and yellow, use orange and yellow cell activators.
I'm looking forward to the next one, Goldilocks! I *loved* this one prior to the swiping and think if you'd just continued with the tilting you'd have had another winner!
Oh dear mercy!! I would be so intimidated by the size alone. You and hubby did great. It is a very pretty painting yet I do understand the issues with getting a commission the way the client wants. Sometimes it's really hard to do since we aren't in their head lol. I am certain that the 3rd time will be the perfect charm. 🦋🌷🤗
@@MOLLYSARTISTRY I had one client that was very specific with her colors. Oh, they weren't good together and i tried to talk her into either adding one more color or opting out of one. She was dead set on what she wanted. I tried and tried. After 5, yes five trys and her not quite happy i did one more and secretly added a little bit of one more color ( can't even remember which color now) and she loved it. I did tell her I added the extra color at the time of showing her and she was so pleased. Giving up isn't an option for me and I see it isn't for you either!! I look forward to seeing the next one you do 😊💞
I disagree, the lacing looks perfect. I absolutely love it. It has tons of depth with the ‘too much blue’ you mentioned. It may not be what the customer wanted but it’ll sell really fast at that show you’re prepping for. Also, fwiw, I LOVED it BEFORE any swiping. Like just stretch that to barely cover your edges, THAT was amazing!
Molly was there more or less paint poured on the first one ? I know more green and loss... this was sooo beautiful before swipe and last tilting..I would hang either!!! Both you and hubby is the best. Perhaps less paint...love your brushwork and fiddling as well Maryeonmaui
I loved it before you swiped! It had almost a 3d effect to it that was so unique. I do commissions for my business and I have a love/hate relationship with them. They make me think outside of my comfort zone and I have truly found new techniques and materials because of them, but I also constantly worry that my end result won't match what the customer has in their mind.
I actually liked it a lot. I think if you added cut and crushed glass and created a geode rock effect you can give it more dept and fix some of the design issues with the placement of cut glass, crystals, and glitter. I think even foil would work too.
I’m screaming “NO! At the screen ! Don’t ruin it I LOVE IT !!! I have an entire home filled with Ocean themed art! Many of which I created myself! I want a fan at first- I was pretty much down right hostile ! But after it was finished OMG ! It just goes to show you!!!
Yes, I got a whole set up now and materials to continue trying different stuff. I just did the straight pour but I'm getting the blow dryer to try that style. Also continuing watching your channel to learn more. Who's says you can't start painting at 50 lol.
I do think this piece turned out great! I feel for you on this commission. It’s hard enough getting a 4’x4’ you like, let alone one to custom specifications. Hang in there! I so look forward to seeing your next attempt! 💕
Maybe this won´t be for your comissioner, but still it is georgeous, the center with that swirl WOW, what I like the most is that you never give up, and you learn of each try, and you have your husband sharing this time with you! Cheer up. and Congrats ! Greetings from Mexico
I absolutely love seeing you figure out these challenging pours! I'm new to acrylic pouring and went through the same on a commissioned 3 piece 18×24. I definitely know what it's like to create something beautiful but not exactly what the customer wanted. YOU CAN DO THIS!! Hope to collab with you as we both are in FL! Can't wait to see the next one!
