Thank you for a great video! I travelled on AN-24 operated by LOT in 1990 - I barely remember details, because I was 5 at the time :) Probably one of my first childhood memories.
I sat at the rear cabin of a CAAC An-24 from Beijing to Xian, and then from Zhengzhu to Changsha in 1978. Both flights included a fueling stop where passengers were served meals in the air port restaurant. The flights were smooth although the cabin was a bit noisy.
Another fantastic video ! Like a museum piece inside, that toilet !!......Amazed at all the derelict 737/a320/dc9 etc parked up, also all the Soviet stuff on the other side of the airport. I don't think i'll be moving to Kyiv anytime soon either.. I enjoy your channel. Thanks from England
Hi Robert, thanks for your nice comment. 🙌😀 We really enjoyed that flights. Stay tuned for a MI-2 Helicopter Ride within the next days. Cheers from Germany
have done a trip from the same Kiev airport to Moscow (think it was Bikovo airport) way back in 1990/91 and multiple trips to Riga in 1991-92... remember an instance when one co pax - girl from africa fainted when we landed in Moscow- hope it was not due to the flight.. being an aviation student those days, I was able to sleep peacefully in the noisy cabin! .. an engineering marvel anyways!!
That fuel truck is a war machine! Awesome!
Great video man! Love the old AN-24’s... they are so rare now :(

Great trip report! It's so cool to fly on such an old plane. I wonder whether this plane was safe to fly :)

I always wonder why the ground start instead of using the APU.
AN-24 was the first airplane I have ever flown back in 1972. Similar seat to yours but on the port side of the plane.
Velho guerreiro
why does it say russian on the title when its ukranian?
47 years old and still going strong. A testament to tough Russian engineering👍
Not russian-soviet engineering
IT's antonov so it will last forever if maintained properly
It was designed and partially produced in Soviet Ukraine, you may call it Soviet but not Russian! But thanks for correct Kyiv spelling)
Its the bashkiran airlines an24 the use
OLD UKRAINIAN PLANE !!!!! ))))))))
