I breastfed. My baby didn’t take the pacifier. They actually don’t recommend the pacifier right away if you’re breastfeeding. You definitely need the peri bottle, pads, discreet Boutique underwear, nonslip socks, soap, gown, breastfeeding bra, shower cap, shower shoes, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, but guess what, the hospital provide mostly all those things but it may not be what you want. If I could suggest anything I would say definitely get the peri bottle, shower shoes and The Always Discreet Boutique underwear. Momma is right, you’re not going to need that nipple cream until you get home. I took it & the nurse told me I didn’t need it yet. She was right. You’re right about washing the clothes, especially if the baby has sensitive skin and if she does have eczema I would suggest the baby ALL detergent instead of Dreft, because it’s fragrance in Dreft, but every baby is different. And the baby Dove sensitive skin wash as well. I hope you have a very safe & quick delivery.

I packed baby her first outfit but when the photographer asked to take a picture with us and baby, girl I was not prepared! **Bring a nice top for you and dad.** Also, it’s a good idea to bring an outfit for premie and newborn, that way if she’s tiny her clothes aren’t too big.** I brought all my own toiletries but the hospital gives you that, and my hospital gave me the peri bottle, pain reliever spray, and pads. Happy, safe pregnancy and delivery!

Please don't wash all of the clothes. She won't wear everything, and then you can return some if you want to get bigger sizes as she grows. Wash all of her sleepers though. You'll use those a lot. I have a hospital bag checklist. You don't need to bring anything for the baby, but clothes. Use and take everything from the hospital. Button up pjs are the best for nursing and you won't have to struggle to take stuff off.

Day I work for the hospital and you can not light anything on the property but you can buy a humidifier and essential oils 🥰🥰🥰. You and your mom did a great job with the shopping. Btw Quick will need something soft because the couches are not comfortable (there hard as hell) most definitely an neck pillow. Congratulations to all on the bundle of joy. mom of 2 here....you do not need to bring diapers use all the hospital diapers that they provide, you will need to bring slippers about 4 changes of clothes, socks,blanket,pillow,robe,toothbrush,toothpaste,soap,towels lotion diapers for bleeding you want to get adult diapers and not pads so blood dont get everywhere its just less mess and maybe 2/3 baby outfits..and yes wash all the baby clothes with drift(baby detergent) you can find it a walmart,target,buybuy baby,burlington
The hospital literally provides u with almost everything u need the only thing u need to bring is a robe some slippers cuz they just give socks and the baby only needs an outfit to go home in cuz they give u a onesie to put on unless u wanna change the outfit also a blanket to go over her since u havin a February baby it be cold so a thick outfit to go home in and a possible coat or onesie typa coat to cover her up they provide pacifiers milk for the baby and diapers save ur money cuz you'll be buying diapers in no time let them give u diapers I would say bring a suitcase for all the stuff they gonna give u as it is they give u 3 meals a day and u gonna be sleeping a lot so might not even eat the snacks I didn't they give u and quik a real nice dinner on ur last day

Mom: depends or pads (depends on how heavy you will bleed) blankets, hair ties, brush, 10ft charger, scarf, slippers, going home clothes, shower shoes, etc Dad: snacks, sweat pants (it’s freezing in the hospital, 10ft charger, AirPods, socks & slippers, blanket and going home clothes. Baby: onesies, swaddle, clothes for pictures, extra diapers (hospital will provide) blankets for leaving the hospital or car seat cover, and burping cloths if you don’t want to use hospital provided ones. As you can tell I over packed🤣
I wash certain new clothes or material like my underwear most definitely!! I wash all my new born baby clothes in a mild or gentle soap to avoid breakouts or hives on their skin for sure, like Dove,dial,ivory,etc💯💯DREFT IS BEST FOR BABY CLOTHES💯
With washing baby clothes I washed one size at a time only because babies grow so fast my daughter had sooo much stuff that’s she didn’t even get to wear that I was able to regift /exchange for her correct size so I personally wouldn’t wash everything all at once just a heads up not telling anyone what to do with their child !

They don’t allow you to have candles at the hospital. You can have essential oils though.
