I can vouch for Onmyoji being good, been playing for almost exactly a year now, and it's available on Steam as well so I've only ever played it on my PC. Big paragraph below for those interested in playing with tips to not screw yourself over. 1 huge thing about progressing and getting units and pvp arena points, do not level your account by nonstop farming like you would do on SW. Your pvp matches or "Realm Raid" matchups are based on your level and you will only be matched up against people up to 3 levels lower than you, which is probably 90% of the time free wins from farmers and people who quit playing. Skill-ups in this game are extremely important as some core mechanics of a unit being good are locked behind having their skill maxed in upgrading the same way as SW. Those pvp medals buy you a Skill Daruma(Devilmon), as well as a random 6* weekly soul, and other things like the equivalent to mystical scrolls. Your main way of farming souls should be big events usually lasting up to 2 weeks that can give you pretty much green-legend 6 grade(star) souls(runes), as well as lots of other stuff from the events points shop like a guarantee, every big event, random "5 star" or SSR unit, though there is basically a 5.5 star called SP rarity which are like upgraded versions of other SSR and lower types. I'm no expert still as I kinda screwed myself by leveling my account, but I've continued to play and enjoy it. If anyone starts playing and can't find help googling, since there doesn't seem to be many content creators for the gacha > the MOBA, I'll respond to comments here and help if anyone has questions. The game is still very active, though I haven't had much luck finding native English speakers, but joining a guild with English in its recruitment will at least mean the guild owner speaks English.
Awh, Onmyoji. I remember playing that for like 5 days and then uninstalling it. Same for Raid, same for Digimon Links (not mentioned in this video but a fun game itself). I didn't know a good half of the ones of this list but some of them seemed cool, so thanks for sharing. Though I've made a mistake playing Summoners War for so long. Never playing another mobile game again.
Summoners war just found the blend. You can do everything f2p except rta. Rune farming is now automated so its not as much of a time investment. The artwork is amazing balancing is generally good. Pricing is fine not great but the events keep you going. There's nothing quite like it.
@@ShyDream_ .3% rates for 5stars on an ld scroll (already super rare) is trash. They might cushion the blow by making all the lower rarity units usable, but summoners war has some of the worst rates ever
@@izmizzle yeah true but also what's true is nearly every nat 5 is basically useless until rta. By the time you are doing rta you will have enough nat 5s. I'm talking years before you should even be thinking about that stuff
I just thought that the rates were worth mentioning, considering you said there's nothing quite like it. I think it's an awesome game and I like the diversity of the units and amazing f2p options, but yea, the rates aren't even borderline predatory, just flat out
Kingdom of heroes is actually one of few good games where u can fairly up get ld units Specificly stone rotations are fair and events are nice. Game itself is more tactic like final fantasy but sw mechanics
As much as I like to shit on sw, i've yet to see a gacha game develop the gameplay that much with a very good base and good ideas all around. Many games could have been as good or better like dyslite and yet somehow they all fuck up somewhere and make it much worse. Despite all of it's flaws, sw has the best gameplay experience i've seen so far (even with the pvp bullshit rng).
Excellent video! I've played a majority of the games listed, and your analysis on each of them was pretty spot on! Also I remember playing ACE in the closed beta and then trying to run it on bluestacks on my pc while waiting for the global launch. The hype just died though. It really just didnt differentiate itself as much as everyone had hoped. Also Onmyoji was really fun for maaaaybe a month or two. I actually downloaded it again six months ago, and was surprised to see it does still have a chat presence. Also I played SS Knights of the Zodiac! While not that popular, I completely agree that it implemented new and interesting gameplay mechanics that I would like to see in more games gojng forward.
So I been in SW since day 1 release. I've seen all these games haha. But I will say for pocketEra it holds a special place to me because when I was basically on my death bed this is what I played. It was great the players were nice all that. Sadly it died BECAUSE the developers stopped caring and just did nothing. BUT the community had a Facebook group and we are now renaking the game with our own money. It's still in development but they are working on copyright and all that jazz it'll be up soon :)
I think you should have mentioned Knights Chronicle here. The game is still running now, albeit updates are slightly slower but the content they release now is quite polished just far more p2w than it used to be (well not entirely, let me explain). Back then the game was really well made, there were multiplayer dungeons which were genuinely fun to play with others. But then content slowly started to stagnate, then the worst came. Special skins. Costume gate - the worst, the original. For £20 you could buy skins that give visual, animation, and *skill and stat* enhancements to a character. Now you can get them for 200 dias (cost of a 10 pull), but the damage was done, and the change came too late. Hugely wasted potential imo, not nearly as many players on it as there used to be.
I love your personality. I love that you're not afraid to express your opinions. I hate your love/ mostly hate of sw, but I respect it. See you in the next life .
omg i love saint seiya, its one of the games i play, my bf just said if u start playing, we watch u. i think saint seiya is the most f2p "summoners war" game i played, we have the cat, u put ms and get more, first time u put 20 and can get between 21 and 27, next time is 30, u can get 31 to 40, next time is 65 ...ppl "survive" on that, i think is 10 times, last one is 650. ppl get around 100ms each cat on the frist week of the month, and every 200ms u will get a S char(kinda like nat 5 but they have the gods SS), u can get in between summons but the 200 is also an S. i love this
"Summoner's War and others" 😅 Just to note -- The "Rent a monster" is very good idea that Com2us should adapt.. Imagine renting Laima/Giana for 100 crystal maybe for 12 hours and once per week! Sounds awesome!
It would also be fun to get a list of 'Games like Diablo Immortal that don't suck'. I like the quest-based RPG style games, but am not sure what's out there that may have healthy populations.
I'm pretty sure I've played almost all of these games and they all have a similar problem. All of the games try to copy SW but all made it so incredibly p2w. Between the events that force you to spend money to advance to not giving you any energy or crystals proportionate to actually play the game. Dislyte was recently dropped for me and things love 100 crystals for 60 energy is absurd
I did that as well. Then there was something unclear in the shop and I basically got nothing for 10 euro. Reached out to support for something reasonable. And they just ignored my request. Eventually had to refund the purchase. After that my account got nuked by the game. Couldn't play it after that. Enjoy the game but steer away from the shop!
Hi men! I really like your comparison of RPGs...however, I think you should take into consideration Gemstone Legends too. IMHO it's a quite similar game to SW, but with different mechanics (match-3). Try it and share your feelings - I guarantee you won't regret it ;)
Honestly , a lot of us stopped playing gacha games on phones . If I ever want to play some video games , I do so on PlayStation and that’s it . I try doing more productive things and SW was honestly wasting my time .
What was that chibi game released in like 2016?2015? It had the same monster skills but it was a bit sideways, chibi style had some autorun mechanics as well. YD played it some too, can't remember the name.
Love this game and there still a part of me that want to go check my island once in a while. The biggest reason that I move on is the odd of getting a light/dark 5 star. I play for 5-6 years and I have 0 light/dark 5 star. I might be one of those unlucky bastard but if you got super lucky, you prob only got like 4 or 5. Still low rate.
As much as, yes there are shards in Monster Super League, it is no where near as bad as you think. I played for years without spending a dime and did just fine with all content. And any game that eliminates the speed stat cant be bad
I've given Mirrorverse a try recently and I am enjoying a lot. Although its all about micro transactions if you do want to progress faster, and some big ££ bundles just like in SW. I think it has potential tho!
Skylander roh was way better than lost centuria imho, so sad they messed up by not addressing what the community wanted quick enough and the community started to lose interest and didn't come back to it even after the issues got resolved very slowly eventually
Honestly anything is better than lost centuria, imo the biggest flounder for it was the fact that it was basically a way worse summoners war with the only saving grace being the Skylanders IP which even that wasn't executed that well.
Fig Fant is good BUT as someone that started on launch and held top 3 in arena/other ranks etc for several months, I can safely say the game is a lot of fun but gets INCREDIBLY tedious fast and has no real time content, it is basically a 1 player game
Why not artery gears? I like the gear system there, kinda... It's a pretty new game... I remember a lot of these games you mentioned... I still have recommendations in my Steam page related to that pay to play fest that was Onmyioji. As for Raid, I played long ago for one day, until no more in-game energy, and never reinstalled cause no real incentive. All the adds are only mostly for new players...
Activision-Blizzard (the Activision side of things) owns Spyro the Dragon and I believe Skylanders. But I've only ever played Spyro so don't quote me on Skylanders
Monster Super League I would really have loved _significantly_ more... if it wasn't so dang laggy. It's alright as a game, but _everything_ is a struggle. Changing scenes, too many mechanics, it's all just... slow. For no reason. I wanted to love it, it just doesn't work right.

You know I've been playing sw for a few years maybe 2-3 but it's mostly off and on. But, I enjoy it so much but then I feel stuck Rune farming indefinitely because the legendary Rune drops are far and few between, you can use 2000 energy and only get ok purple runes at best, then when you go to upgrade the Rune you get terrible stats. Just waist of everyone's time if you are expecting to progress late game.
Monster super league isn't as expensive already and now they have a good system with pity of ld u could get 2 ld's in one primo gem and they're also very f2p friendly now just the amount of gems given every month
I can vouch for Onmyoji being good, been playing for almost exactly a year now, and it's available on Steam as well so I've only ever played it on my PC. Big paragraph below for those interested in playing with tips to not screw yourself over.

I still play Awaken Chaos Era. It's a great game and it's constantly getting better with more updates.
Too much stuff to open

How soon? What's it gonna be called
bro i legit pulled oliver from a mystic scroll on my main account like 2 weeks ago. im loving that you used that specific example lmao
Damn I came here to mention this game I played once before, monster super league. You know your stuff bagel!
8 months later, Summoners War adapted that saint seiya feature like renting a set of monsters you don't own in RTA that change weekly
It was $1,200 for the Calabria event... right when the stimulus checks were being handed out. I Uninstalled so fast.

Sounds like a nightmare runing them multiple times
Add a new 'confused shadow' one off unit, transforms into a random ld5 in each battle, runing would be rough lol
RIP kingdom of heroes
What a nostalgia trip, i actually loved monster super league
Also, the CCG $1200 event was literally the exact same month/week that the US got their $1200 Covid stimulus check
yes . i waited for this video a long time and im not dissapointed. gj bagel and thanks.
*We are tired about summoners war , so hard to get nat5 LnD.. thanks for recomen another game same like summoners war 😁*
I swear this is going to turn in to an ad for RAID SHADOW LEGENDS
Sounds like a Narcotics Anonymous meeting, talking about these games.
I've played pocket era back then. Never knew it was summoners war. I believe the APK was still around on Facebook.

Same
23:00 in onmyoji there is also a rental system for pvp but the pool is limited and it rotates
Free monster rotations like in league of legends would be sick. Every week you have access to use like 5 monsters.
I still miss DHC, it had so much potential.
I'd mentioning Knights Chronicle, but it's on its last legs at this point.

22 games like summoners war and still one one 🥯
AOTU World should’ve been in the “poor one out” section. It was great when it was in service.
Your skin look so smooth! Tell me you moisturizing ritual
I'm surprised Artery Gear did not make this list
As much as, yes there are shards in Monster Super League, it is no where near as bad as you think. I played for years without spending a dime and did just fine with all content. And any game that eliminates the speed stat cant be bad
You should of mentioned com2us Heir of Light high end graphics like raid shadow legend
You can also play Onmyoji (Steam) on PC. (Exactly like Raid Shadow Legend, lol.)
These were great !

Exos heroes shut down RIP. You should do another video like this next year as a gift to Summoners War 10th Anniversary
Fig Fant is good BUT as someone that started on launch and held top 3 in arena/other ranks etc for several months, I can safely say the game is a lot of fun but gets INCREDIBLY tedious fast and has no real time content, it is basically a 1 player game

The Exos Heroes one looks more like a Dissidia Opera Omnia than a Summoners War
I played Koz, Calibria, disney arena and final fantasy war of visions, and after all of that i left everything and i´m still on SW
Have you ever heard of the game “dungeon boss”?
VERY underrated game
Wheel Of Doom !!
Omiyojis moba slaps
Calibria just went back online!
Gross
Activision-Blizzard (the Activision side of things) owns Spyro the Dragon and I believe Skylanders. But I've only ever played Spyro so don't quote me on Skylanders
dungeon hunter champions was such an amazing game
YOU HAVE BRAZILIAN AUDIENCE LETS SAINT SEITA YEEE
Pocket Era doesnt exist :((
Ngl i enjoyed your genshin videos
Monster Super League will get "new engine" next year.
I want to make my own 'community feedback' based game but I just can't draw.
So i checked again kingdom of heroes they have guaranteed event for ld 5star of choice plus 2ld 4-5 scrolls just reroll for what u like ;D
Monster Super League I would really have loved _significantly_ more... if it wasn't so dang laggy.
It's alright as a game, but _everything_ is a struggle. Changing scenes, too many mechanics, it's all just... slow. For no reason. I wanted to love it, it just doesn't work right.
omfg i forgot about dungeon hunter champions
i recommend every person to try out exos heros and more importantly Lord of heros they are very fun just few content creators covering them if any.
Still waiting honkai star rail but maybe I'll try the Saint seiya for now
I remember I was play 1 game like SW 99%, this content about Pokemon, it like skills, features......, 1 different is skin of pokemon :)
Minos monsters 2 favorite first game.
6:07 i love this origin story so much
edit: 23:40 best wink ever
I'm checking this video out because in SW, I'm not progressing at all. It's really annoying.
the entire normal version of the campaign, gives you the basic story. of you people fighting through the evil forces, despite being prophecized to be either losing or turned yourself.
PS.: Bagel, watch out for the new fake Replies, literally had a fresh account with your Avatar and some random phone number reply to your YT-Audience a couple of times now. I reported it, but others might now, or even fall for it. Seen a lot of dumb stuff happen with those XD
Artery Gear is the best one that is new that is like summoners war
He? I had ads for Awaken: Chaos Era everywhere for last 1 or 2 months. But it has very bad ratings, cause game crashing or some people can't even launch app, like me.
Lord of heroes is amazing. I really recommend it.
Ive played calibria for a while, spent some money on it and quitted a bit later (with like 5x ld Nat 5 + Tons maxed stuff). So i just saw this Video and decided to log back in, just to find out that they shut down the Servers a while ago and reopend them + deleted All old Accounts.
M&M elemental guardians still active? I installed it and it hangs on the loading screen, and it doesn't come out of it
have you tried punishing gray raven jewbagel? it's a gacha like mirrorverse but imo better f2p friendly especially with the nier collab
Bagel, come to Brazil. Hahaha Saint Seiya is huge here.
1. Check Calibria again. Looks like someone relaunched it. Now has a release date of July 2022. Odd I know
2. You should check in with Awaken again. They've added a bunch more content, more heroes 😁.
I think Bagel himself had some beef with the company. Was something about adds using his face as if he was playing/reacting to it without his consent. Doubt he is going to try it.
im here actually because of omgfood. cmon now
Yeah pocket era still active and striving with small community…
Bagel you forgot INFINATE MAGIC RAID
Knights chronicles is a sw like game with some pretty good graphics and is pretty f2p
Artery Gear Fusion is like Epic7 WITHOUT the gear RNG. You can also farm while offline.
There is rng in artery gear lol Relax. Just not as much when it comes to gear.
I still play msl(monster super league) but its not as well made as summoners war and the summon rates are unfortunately much much higher but I still enjoy it.
The only other game that kept me playing for about a year was Illusion Connect, don’t know if it would be considered summoners war like though
I remember that game. I got into end game but I couldn't keep up with the constant new monsters so I quit it
@@jesee22 same here, went back to sw again but close to quitting again lol
how did you miss Light: Fellowship of Loux!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That game was 100x better then anyone listed here! lol
You know I've been playing sw for a few years maybe 2-3 but it's mostly off and on. Monster super league isn't as expensive already and now they have a good system with pity of ld u could get 2 ld's in one primo gem and they're also very f2p friendly now just the amount of gems given every month
So no more SMS?
