You can´t construct circle like that (no matter which number you choose as a surface for the square), because you need to work with the number π, which you can´t really count to it´s last digit. I think it is somehow possible to do it with irrational numbers and similar "magic", but the mortal like me or Wilbur isn´t able to do it.
Even though this video is a few months old, I have to say this. At 11:05 Wilbur reminds me of the Ghost of Christmas Present. Think about it. There's snow all over town, it's night time, the color scheme of Wilbur's robes are like Santa's(even though the GoCPr wears a green robe), he has reddish hair, he's huge in comparison to the room, and the wreath on his head is almost the same as the Christmas wreath the GoCPr wears. Not to mention that he's dealing with a ghost at the moment as well. I just love that. XD
Spoiler. You can go back up to the temple, but sneak up to the top of it, there's an option when you click it (to sneak). Once up the top, you use the symbol + some spotlight/mirrors and redirect light with the symbol under the ghost. Voila!
Since I don't think Jesse got the reference, exactly 'squaring the circle' is impossible. The surface area of a circle is π*r², so a square with equal area would have sides of length r*√π. But since π is an irrational number, this can never be done exactly in practice! Also, I wonder if they meant an equilateral triangle - a right angled triangle wouldn't be symmetric, though I suppose it would be easier to draw (if you place two sides parallel to the sides of the square).
Emanuel Hoogeveen yeah, not surprised Jesse missed it, I wonder if it comes up again later in the game. And a tiny correction, the problem is not that π is irrational (since for instance √2 is just the diagonal of a length 1 square after all), it's that it is transcendental.
Emanuel Hoogeveen I think they were just trying to get the gist of saying a "no entry" symbol. A square sign with a circle in the center with a line going diagonally through to connect two corners of the square. But I may have over simplified it.

It's funny how the God of Stories says that gods shouldn't just solve the story. That's were the term Deus Ex Machina comes from. In old plays, an actor playing a god would be lowered on stage from a rope and they would just declare the resolution to everything.
Is anyone else suspicious of the fact that the frog-archmage didn't blink when Ivo asked him to?...Maybe the frog isn't the archmage and Van Buren switched the Archmage with a normal frog?

Junior Machado Deus Ex Machina is a plot term refering to a random event of god that solves a problem. Ex. a bolt of lightning suddenly killing the main villain or the power goes out when the character is trying to turn on their super weapon. Also Latin as well Deus Ex Machina is God in the Machine.
