My mom Angee and I live in different states. When she came to visit me, I decided to buy her an early birthday gift and get her DNA tested. My dad is from the Philippines. So I wanted to know where the other half of my genes come from too. I called Mom with the results from 23andMe and got her reaction on camera! My mom's European, my dad's Asian, and I'm in therapy!

The statement "DNA doesn't lie" refers to matches, not to ethnicity estimates, which by definition cannot be precise. Ethnicity is not the same as nationality. On 23andMe, you can change the confidence level from the default of 50% to, say, 95% and the estimates will change. Country borders are political not ethnic. The only way to know where your ancestors lived is to build a well-documented tree.

Where did it say your mom is French?🤔 Also she's Northern Irish not Irish and you forgot to mention Scottish in the end when you were listing all the countries she's from. Loved the video btw!
