Positive and Productive classroom environments are a necessary piece for student success.
It’s not just one or two students you’re encountering, it’s 20 and 30 at a time with varying emotions for 7.5 hrs.
You may not need this, but for that they who may also be having an off day and don’t want to say or do something they will regret, here are some quick and simple strategies to assist you with getting through those 7.5 hours.
S (Start with a Smile and Greet them)
E (Engage w/your students & acknowledge their efforts)
T (Take Time to Breathe & refocus your mind)
T (Thank them for showing up regardless of their show up level)
Be genuine because there will always be that one student that will question your motives. Be prepared to answer their why with a genuine response.
