Built by hand in 1975 by log home builder Mike Neary, Camp Neary brings you the quintessential log cabin vibe on a scale rarely found on Mt. Hood. This 2900sqft log cabin (or mini lodge really) sits on a beautiful acre of towering douglas fir and western red cedar trees in the heart of the Mt Hood rec area. just minutes away from world class skiing and snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking.
The space
As you step into our cabin you'll be greeted by the warmth and smell of big beautiful doug fir logs. The floor here is stone from up the mountain and the wall is clad with historic wood from a barn that used to be on the oregon trail.
Beyond that you'll enter the main room where you'll find a sunken living room with custom cushions surrounding a large stone fireplace, a handbuilt desk in front of a large picture window to work (or hopefully not work) while taking in the scenery, a large dining room with hand build cedar dining tables and room for the whole party, a large non-sunken living room with cozy sectional and pull down projector for movie nights, and a fully stocked kitchen with high end appliances for cooking your favorites.
