Totally Awesome is my go to for everything....keep a bottle in my laundry room and spray ALL my blouses fronts just before i throw them in the washing machine in case some spot is on it. A must also for kitchen.

That cleaner is Totally Awesome. I used it to years ago clean a bunch of chipotle sauce off the carpet. It worked. Just today while refilling my eco tank printer, some specks of cyan popped on my carpet. Totally awesome to the rescue again. I clean my Cricut mats with it as well.
Good idea thanks, and I sharpen my scissors by folding aluminum foil and cutting it until it's too thin to cut.. They look great!

Someone just showed us at a crop, how totally Awesome helps clean a cricut mat making it sticky again. Spray it on and rinse off. She lightly brushed off the dirt and when dry it was sticky again. Amazing.
I use W-D 40 on scissors and rotary trimmer. I follow up with alcohol on trimmer blade. Mimipie in Texas
I have found the best thing for my scissors as to use essential oils. Peppermint or citrus essential oil dissolve it and I just wipe it away with a paper towel. I just rub some on with my finger and let it work for about a minute.
I use isopropyl alcohol on a piece of kitchen towel for my scissors and mat. We dont have a dollar tree in England. 😊

I cut my sponges into smaller sizes instead of using it whole. I can get several different uses by cutting them. I use Brutus Monroe stamp cleaner for my scissors and cutting mat.

I use those little alcohol wipes in the square packages. It takes so rubbing, but works pretty well
I use medical adhesive remover pads. They come in tiny envelopes like alcohol pads used to clean your skin before they draw blood. They’re more expensive than anything from the $ Tree, but I’m allergic to adhesives so I have to buy them anyway, and one pad will clean everything in sight!

I use undo glue remover and it works instantly - no scrubing. But it does not clean my mat. Will try this tomorrow on my mat. Thanks for the tip!
I never thought about cleaning my scissors with awesome. Thank you. I clean my cabinets with it. Takes away any greese on them. I love it. And the name fits so well.

Be advised, it will remove paint on your walls, the siding paint on a mobile home, and your car if you are not careful!
My scissors get gunky from cutting foam tape. I have actually resisted buying those scissors they claim are adhesive resistant because I already have so many pairs. This is a more affordable option. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks for the hack! I have both and this would work…I usually use nail polish remover if I have glue on my scissors…I don’t usually have time to get my mat dirty…but I’m thinking that I will over the summer.

Here's another hack to clean your scissors. Nail polish remover, it has Acetone in it. Acetone is a cleaner,we use it in the fiberglass industry to clean resin off of tools.
I have known about Awesome for yrs . I have used it to clean floors , countertops, etc. But who would have thought to use it on scissors. 👍🏿 thank you . I will be trying this method .

I've seen Totally Awesome cleaner in Dollar Tree, but you have to admit-- it's a very unassuming bottle! Doesn't look like much so I never bought it. You can be sure one of them will be jumping in my cart next trip to DT!.
I use the small prepacked alcohol wipes, that diabetics use before taking thier blood sugar. I always have them in my stash and they clean well.
I just use dish soap to remove the sticky stuff on my scissors ✂️ 😊 I have that cleaner but I'm allergic to the scent.
I’ve used vegetable oil, just like go gone. Just wipe off excess oil.
I use Goo Gone, but it can leave a little greasy feeling residue, which I then use some rubbing alcohol to get the residue off.
I'll have to try Totally Awesome because they're clean in one step instead of two.

I have used that awesome for years on stains on the clothes on the carpet on everything. For cleaning my scissors I use Goo gone. It works great and I don't need to use a cleaning pad.

Total Awesome has been in m6 cleaning arsenal for years. You can also buy the refill bottle. Keep a small spray bottle in your craft room (labeled of course)
This was a big surprise! I took my new but not working dollar tree scissors and cleaned them as you showed and now I am able to use them again perfectly! I am not a big crafter like you. But sure enough there was something preventing my scissors from cutting well at any point on the blades. Now they really work! Thank you very kindly for sharing this! :)

Sherrie, a year or so ago I purchased a pack of really inexpensive scissors. I did so with the intent of just throwing each pair away when they got too “gunked” up. I will certainly try Awesome-especially on my self-healing mat. Thanks again, Sherrie!
I also bought a pair of teflon scissors for sticky cutting. They are truly a great investment.
I always just used aluminum foil and wax paper. This is awesome! I crumple up a piece of aluminum foil and cut through it a few times then do the same with a doubled up sheet of wax paper.
I've not seen this before, being in the UK I thought it might just be an American product but now, Amazon UK has it and it'll be delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to cleaning my mat and scissors. Thank you for sharing 😊
I use awesome all the time to clean my scissors. It is awesome and I use it all the time to clean anything. I find it at all the Dollar Stores....I've never checked if it is sold in other stores.
for those in New zealand, Mitre 10 has something called "De-solv-it, it sounds similar, lovely orange smell is actually made from orange peel!

I discovered it years ago when I worked for a cleaning company and let me tell ya, it is my go to for any kind of stain. Awesome is Totally Awesome! So are the magic erasers too!

I use AWESOME for everything. Especially my Cricut mats. Cleans well and my mats are still sticky and hold the paper or vinyl

I usually put my scissors in the dishwasher!😊 But I do have a pair that are “junked up” from cutting Velcro that the dishwasher didn’t get clean. I have used Totally Awesome to clean my mats for my Cricut but never thought to use it to clean my junky scissors!🤦♀️ I will definitely be trying that!!

Any glue cleaning I have, I will use Goo Gone. I spray it on a paper towel and just wipe it. To remove the oil residue, I will spray alcohol on a clean paper towel and wipe down the oil from the surface of my surface and scissors/tools.

I use the remover you mentioned at the beginning of the video. I bought a bottle when you made the video of you using it for the first time. It lasted a very long time and I just bought another bottle of it.

You can also use la totally awesome and dawn dish soap on grease stains on clothes, even if they have gone through the dryer.
I use "Goo Gone" to clean scissors & anything else w/ Glue substance on it.

Hello Sherry,I use hand sanitizer and a microfiber washcloth to clean my scissors and craft mat,I usually get them at Dollar tree,but I haven't been able to find the the microfiber wash cloths lately

The only thing I don't like about the awesome cleaner is the spray nozzle. It was hard on my finger so I put it in another bottle.
