Y'all keep saying that the ending was sad. Like, it's not! They might approach each other, then say sorry to each other as well. Everything was just a misunderstanding, and all they have to do is to patch things up, and clear things up. It's not sad. It's just that, their story is not yet finished, and we are the one who will finish it the way we want it to be. Anyway, author, this is amazing! I was shedding to much tears the whole time! First they start as friends and by time they realise that they can't live without each other and then end up together 💜

For those who wanna smile: his boxy smile turn into a weak smile as he saw another tear roll down your peach cheek, taking along the light faded blush you applied before. A small whisper escapes your lip, calling out the name of the person you left four years ago, hurt to the core. ~“Taehyung”~.
Sitting on the couch, beside one another. Friends for years, married for two were now just strangers with some memories and…. feelings. but… who was the one to blame? the one who did nothing but love and care for the other or the one who did nothing but push.
Both of them part their lips each time trying to form words but the silence couldn’t be changed. One didn’t know what he was supposed to say, act or feel about this while the other didn’t know where to start.
You decided to break the silence with the very question that was eating you up from the inside, ~“How’s your.. um.. wi-wife...?”~ Regret was all that could be described as soon as those words left your mouth but you had to know. ~“I.. don’t have one… I have been busy.. with myself”~ It felt like thousands of bricks were lifted off your chest. The last chance. That’s what you named it.
After a small conversation was made you decided to ask him the one thing you should’ve done years ago. You weren’t letting it slide off again, at least not this time, ~“Tae… will you…. go out with me?”~ He was taken back. Anyone would’ve been taken back.
And what he answered next changed everything. It brought back happiness which was never there. Mistakes cannot be undone... but that does not mean they cannot be improved. (well in simple words you asked him out on a date and he said yes, hoomans. A new beginning.. just don’t mess it up again this time in your scenarios)
For those who don’t want them together: His boxy smile grew wider when his name was heard… but the voice wasn’t yours. It was someone else’s… a female voice which held softness in them, a sweet voice which had more than comfort in them… love. for the name owner.
~“Taehyungggggiee!!! Mom is here.. she said that if you’re done playing with kids you can come with us or she’ll leave you here!”~ She held onto Taehyung’s arm gently. But that’s not what caught your attention, well not most of it. Your eyes fell on the silver ring which was wrapped around his and her ring fingers. The tiny soft white polished metal united the souls wearing them and broke the soul standing in front of them… you. ~“Umm... Y/n… meet Tae’s/Future fiancé's/name…...... my… fiancé"~
You knew it. You knew this was what will happen in the end. You expected nothing other than this.. but it still hurt. It stung and hurt you. The familiar feelings rushed up to your veins and colonized your body. The same feeling you tried to move on from.. the same feeling of guilt and regret. Only if you did what should’ve been done. This wouldn’t have happened but only if.
You cannot change what has been done. You cannot do anything about it but feel good for what lies ahead and what the future holds for the person that loved you with his all and got nothing in return but hurt. You can do nothing about it but keep the guilt with you till the very last breath you take. (well in simple words he moved on, fell in love with a new girl who treated him better and is now about to marry her) (either they can continue being strangers from here or become friends)
(personally, I prefer the second one because I am that girl with a silver ring around her finger, people- 💅🏻💅🏻 - jkjkjkjkjkjk)

@VVANTAE I believe the annulment papers taehyung signed because he thought that's what y/n wanted.. but truthfully y/n wanted to make things work but signed the papers because she as well also thought that's what taehyung want but also because she knew she needed to let him go, so he can be happy and have a family of his own....
~4 years later~ I believe love between two people always find their way back to eachother and in the end taehyung and y/n found their happiness..

My open ending would be....
They became friends the kids knew he was their old step father or whatever u call it. The kids and taehyung had great bonding to the point y/n fell for him more without knowing taehyung still loves her. Y/n visits jungkook's grave everyday since it turned as a part of her daily routine and sometimes taehyung cones with her too. One day y/n was drunk and realeased all her feeling and taehyung did the same too but he was'nt drunk since he helped y/n to get home. But one thing they thought each of them did'nt like each other so they had to find a new partner (made up characters) they were friends still tho.
My made up open ending is quite boring ://
