Many PWD students from AP and Telangana have faced this problem since 2016. In our respective boards, we have two languages (Hindi and English) and four subjects (Maths A, Maths B, Physics, Chemistry). For PWD candidates, the AP and TS governments provide exemption in one language, which many students opted for and completed our boards. However, during JoSAA counseling, our mark sheets were rejected because JoSAA's rules require five different subjects, whereas PWD candidates from AP and TS have only four subjects. This discrepancy prompted us to raise a query, and they threatened to cancel our IIT seats. We approached the court, and the Honorable AP High Court immediately ordered our admission. Even our out-of-state board responded by averaging marks from our four subjects to the English subject. In my investigation, a total of 80 students lost their seats in respective IITs, NITs, and IIITs
