    They forgot to mention that they have one of the best cheers ever when they play the Franchise Bastards. "Where were you when you were us"

    Been going to Wimbledon games since I was an infant.. I vaguely remember Wimbledon FC in the days of pat agyemang at smellhurst. Always wanted to see the real dons back at plough lane, justice and reason is finally coming through. Womble till I die

    Remember when the guys from FIFA TV came down last season and did some filming.
    Delighted with the end result of the hours of filming and now to complete it with the story post-promotion with key people such as Erik, Neal and Robbo. There are so many more unsung and unnamed, who could be given credit. They know who they are. Thank you.
    Also thank you for including footage from the WISA (Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association) time, when we brought all the supporters together, which gave us all belief we could start again and as Erik says: 'do it the right way'.
    WISA was formed in 1995. WISA helped create The Dons Trust - this is the fans. The Dons Trust are the ultimate owners of AFC Wimbledon.
    The next step is the new stadium.
    The story continues and new partnerships beckon.
    Exciting time ahead.

    It was so hard losing at Wembley, but if there's a team that you would lose to it would be AFC Wimbledon because of how far they've come in such a short space of time

    Am surprised that John Green wasn't mentioned. I think they have a whole section named after him.

    • @jacobdrum
      @jacobdrum 8 років тому +10

      Yeah, also a curious downplaying of the whole fan ownership aspect, which is I think how John Green got involved in the first place. But, it's a video made by FIFA.

    • @laurencelowne8454

      John Green has only been involved a short while. Lovely guy.
      Delighted he is involved and no doubt there will be lots of credits for him as the club progresses into its new home, which is when his role, I suspect will become so important to the club and fans, more so than now.
      I know he really enjoyed his day at Wembley with the fans behind the goal and then came back to the club to enjoy the celebrations too. He has his own video of the day and it is so on the mark.
      Gave me a warm feeling and loved the fact he has so literally fallen in love with the club.
      Having a stand at Kingsmeadow named after him, means the supporters know who he is and how much the club is in his heart.

      He tried to make them throw games. He deserves to be completely expunged from their history.

    I was in charge of the demolition of the Greyhound Stadium. Very interesting project - lots of grieving former Greyhound owners filled with happy memories, the salvage of Mick the Miller… lots of asbestos.

    One thing I love about Wimbledon is how the players seemingly all buy into the club. It seems like they all believe in the idea and want to win for it

    I don't understand why Wimbledon is such a martyr in the eyes of soccer fans. The team had a substandard field and were stuck playing neutral sites for years, the region refused to improve or build a new ground and they merely moved a very short distance away. Fans could literally walk to the new site from the old one. Not to mention that it was a London based team moving to another part of London. Not exactly a small market moving to a big one like is commonplace in North American sport.

    Don't want to waste my time explaining how much of this is bullshit. But you can't say you were betrayed because by the tine the move was confirmed you were already getting attendances of 1000 at Selhurst Park!

      @laurencelowne8454 8 років тому +30

      the attendances were low because we organised a boycott.
