    I think we can all agree that Frank had some absolute brass balls for calling out Marie as the source of all the tension in the family, and that we should love him for it.
    Also, it looked like Doris Roberts had some trouble getting up from her seat at 1:11 and fell back on the couch before standing up; and Peter Boyle lifted his hand there, I think to help her when it looked like she fell.

      In that respect Marie is right. I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I'm a mom of two and I don't reward my kids for every single thing that they do in life. Because that's not how real life works. Do I praise them when they do a good job at something, sure. But I'm not going to give them a medal for everything. I see today that kids are rewarded for every single thing they do. Like Marie said.

    One of ELR best scenes!!!
    Frank was ALWAYS MY FAVORITE!!!
    They way he told it, he was 100% RIGHT, Marie is the source of all the tension, because she still can't deal with the fact Debra is Raymond number 1 girl. Worst of all, its not just Debra, she would have been like that for any woman who married Ray. Plus she is like that with everyone.

  • @julesmcc5477
    @julesmcc5477 9 місяців тому +32

    Frank finally told the truth, out loud, about how much Marie resents her favourite sons choice of wife! It was great of him to finally call her on it, in front of a witness like the father who she couldn’t deny it to either! It’s brief but Ray and Debra both have hurt expressions when this comes out, I kinda wish they’d expanded the scene with them acknowledging it as well! Or Marie trying t deny it before her big parenting speech 😢great acting everybody and Raymond 😉

  • @nickjvideos
    @nickjvideos 9 місяців тому +45

    Frank is right with everything he said. Debra picked Ray is why Marie is the way she is. She never liked Debra, she doesn’t think Debra is the girl for Ray. She has made that clear in that flashback episode of how Ray and Deb met. And the fact that they are together anyways angers her. She can’t handle it because it’s the one thing of Ray she couldn’t control. So she takes all this passive aggressive on Debra just to deal with the anger of it. That’s why they have all the problems they have today, and also living across the street too doesn’t help. It also could be the fact that Frank’s mother wasn’t really nice to Marie herself when she was like Debra’s age. Debra could end up doing the same thing whoever marries to one of her kids in the future. The cycle continues sometimes, and Marie is proof of it.

    Frank is absolutely 💯 right. All the tension in the family is Marie's fault, just because she hates Debra and she has such a strong hold on her beloved son Raymond. Frank told the absolute truth, Marie can’t stand the fact that Debra married Ray because Debra is the #1 woman in Ray’s life & she can’t stand it. As soon as the attention got on Marie, she got defensive & try to change the subject. Only Frank & Robert had Debra’s back because they knew how awful Marie was. Ray was just a mama’s boy who chose his mother over his wife.

    • @francescodg22
      @francescodg22 7 місяців тому

      Well Marie kind of liked Debra in the beginning even was happy when Ray popped the question but then found out how Debra really is.And Debra was a good wife? They all had their flaws even Debra. That was the point. Ray was a momma's boy and didn't do much around the house while Debra couldn't cook/had no interest in learning, wasn't a good nurturer and constantly rejected Ray and literally made him beg for sex. Why do you think Debra didn't leave ray? Because she knew any other man wouldn't put up with that.

      @@francescodg22 true, but Debra had to put up w/ a lot from the family, Marie constantly tried to sabotage there marriage & was highly critical of everything Debra did. I don’t blame Debra for treating Ray the way she did because he didn’t appreciate her as much, Robert would’ve been a better husband than Ray to Debra cause he valued her more.
