In my school it's also allowed but it's allowed after 9th grade ... But there are some rules you can't use it in middle of class 1st option you can keep it in class cupboard or else keep it in bag till ur class

And i don't think there's much difference between owning a personal phone from early childhood and owning a personal phone later after 15/16 or anything ...
