Add to a road delivery instead of moving an assembly line into the ore patch. It's a matter of effort to move something, and I'm lazy, so adding one road and resourcing the ore is only two steps versus moving and re-arranging all the stuff in your assembly lines. ;2)
I know you probably know this if you’re going for truly set and forget any better-putting depots inside the extractor sets. Therefore, most of the centres can also get mined out. E.g. 2 lines of extractors, then one line of the depotand repeat
Is there a coordinate system for this hex grid? I am wondering if you would be better served to have a few locations near the equator that could be spaced relatively equally between your three cities. It would mean that you would have to create a Transblarz monorail network. (Is there an achievement for that? I am thinking about Civilization IV [maybe earlier], where you would get a permanent bonus to your fleet by being the first civ to circumnavigate the planet you played on.) By pulling the resources to production hubs, you could ship stuff around the planet. Also, it would give you a lower limit for the amount of rail needed to do one great circle. I believe that DSP needed 1,001 tiles around a planet's equator. I should be able to squeeze in another episode, before I need to think seriously about supper.

I considered it, I think it was a mistake NOT doing it!
@@JDPlays you would have to switch around at some point but you could have got 2/3 of a pack out without moving anything

Am I missing something obvious or did you just cut off the only supply of reinforced concrete to New Miami?
