You holster for faster movement, and you swap before because you would either have to reload or swap once you unholster; both are much slower.

The push is slow. Even if players switch to their secondary, they often make the mistake of waiting for the animation to see their secondary gun, run and shoot. Still slow. What he is showing here is when you have an enemy low, tap Y or triangle (whatever your holster and switch button is) and then hold that same button to holster your gun. This allows you to switch guns and holster immediately after. When you holster, you can do an immediate slide jump catching the enemy off guard because you will get there sooner than they expected. And at this point, when you unholster your gun, you will have your secondary out ready to shoot. This is a faster push compared to the conventional method.

U can also if u in a ego challenge to leave one bullet in your mag so you’ll get a tactical reload which is faster than when u empty your mag and reload .

An even faster and better way, especially since you're on pc, is binding 1 and 2 to your weapons. you can hit 1 or 2 depending on what gun you want, because, you know, you're on pc.
