WoW ! What a find. So much stuff. I don't think my knee is ready for such a hike, just yet. That crank was a great find. That 55 gal drum in that back storage area, Sunday Bath, perhaps ? And that full drum you stumbled on, I thought you found Jimmie Hoffa for a second. But it sounded empty. Too funny, mentioning Spam. I just had some tonight. They come in single packs. Lite version, also. One helping. And yes Steve, I like it fried sometimes, with a couple of eggs. Oh, and I'd rather go on a three hour hike,(one way) than a three hour tour.

Hello, amazing site. Great find. I’m
Curious if it’s in Nevada in Lyon or Mineral County.
At any rate, it looks like it hasn’t been salvaged. Also, there’s definitely signs of Indian presence, most likely after mine closed. I’ve been to many sites like this and can make out some very interesting finds in the video, amazing the stuff was left there. Anytime I see these kinds of videos I can only wonder what causes them to leave? Why leave so much working material behind along with the tools of the trade.
The graves are very interesting also. For what it’s worth, I personally give you guys immense respect for taking the time to video the site.

@@PinInTheAtlas I guess the reason I'm asking, is I'd darn near kill to see Bad Water again, and Lake Manly isn't going to be there for much longer. When I lived down there, my late husband, was an alcoholic and we didn't get to do the things I'd hoped to see, while down there. Things change, now it's just my sister and me, and if I had the money to stay in the Furnace Creek Inn for one night, I would get the chance to see at least a few things. Now, that would be fun.

@diane1390 it sure is an amazing place. The hotel looks great too. We’ve never been inside though. Hopefully the NPS will lift their filming restrictions soon. We don’t have the finances for permits and the $1mil insurance they are asking for. I know people are still filming and posting and pretty sure they don’t have the permits. But for us it isn’t worth the risk of a fine. Sorry Diane. Have you subbed to JenniGives. She’s done lots at DV. We also have a website with lots of DV hikes and mines. Lots of pics too. This was a serious mining operation. Considering what you found and terrain was very difficult. I did notice the remains to a really old washing machine. When you consider the the terrain when it was started . Was still different from now. With the flashflood's over time making things more difficult. I personally wouldn't called the rattlesnake a baby. But instead youngling. Because you heard the rattle going. Don't get me wrong even a baby still do harm! In Florida we have the rattlesnake and pygmy rattlesnake. You don't take them lightly either. Sometimes can be found in the garage. Why people used the adhesive traps in the garage to catch them.
