- The Barbie car is alive! In this video I'll show you how to fix a Geo Tracker that won't start. How to clean fuel injectors with carb cleaner is easy. I'll also show you how to detail the interior and get rid of the smell. This Geo Tracker rebuild is not difficult and not too costly! This Geo Tracker / Suzuki Samurai rebuild is going a lot smoother than anticipated.

Nice! That's the best outcome by far, those throttle body fuel injectors are usually pretty reliable (they used them in 1.0L Geo Metros and Trackers, etc) but they do gum up over time. I absolutely love that you're bringing this Geo back to life it deserves every bit of it

First off . But down oil soak pads in both sides of the project ! If the ducks crap on your floor while watching you do your work give them a nesting place to sit other than hard concrete floors and run down both sides of the car front to garage door opening like a puppy wewe pad . add "BG "oil cleaner to the motor oil and " TECHRON " TO THE GAS TANK ! I WOULD ALSO INSTALL THOSE COMPUTER CARDS TO THE UNIT YOU HAVE ! Loved the episode ! Have a great weekend as it came up so fast this week with the holiday ! God Bless !
Outstanding! I created a problem for myself because of the water pump. There are two bolts that are shorter than the others. I had to retap the hole I messed up on. I think you are an outstanding mechanic! Keep on keeping on!

There might be a possible vacuum leak or you might want to check the plugs but good job getting it running

I bought a small Ozone machine years ago, it works great. It was about $100 or so. But well worth it, even kills bugs

You need to drive to the nearest movie theater where the new 'Barbie' movie is showing. Simple, basic and fun cars. I am surprised Lola hasn't jumped in it yet.

Wow..Great Job Mike ..Man that car brings back so many memories .When I was in Highschool one of my best friends had a tracker almost identical. She's beautiful and that engine sounds amazing..Great Summer fun car ..love it...Best video ever
Mike back in 1994 my girlfriend at the time had a Geo Tracker hers was red. we always had it loaded with gear like surf boards and camping gear. A lot of fun memories adventures in that car with her, Well along story short she passed the test and now is my wife. We now live in Scottsdale AZ and are avid mountain bikers.
glad barbie runs, but I'd still replace that oil soaked timing belt and leaking seals. never mind. should have watched longer.
Good to see the car running I think it deserves new tires and paint I would go though the brakes to for the time it's been sitting if u like it enough keep it as a backup vehicle in case u need it it never hurts

Had this on a friends pre injection car, after looking, I cleaned and serviced the carbs, my friend asked me what was wrong with it, I said he had shit in the carbs, he asked how often did he have to do that 😁😁😁, great content MWM.
Belt tensioner should be replaced when changing the belt. and if it is hydraulic, it needs
'"bled". Compressed several times and released before installing. The timing belt will shift if not.
So happy it runs love this thing especially the colors it looks awesome can’t wait to see if it drives. Now we just need to see the disco inferno up running and driving Mike

I'm a bit concerned Mike if my memory is right those poor ducks were in the line of the exhaust gases not only that they were trying to sleep. forget how your garage looks, the more of these types of vehicles is surely , again is surely, going to increase your viewer count. The black BMW, I think its a BMW, Suv or wagon is again the type of vehicles most of really like watching. More viewers, more money. Don
The coolant most likely hasn't been changed in five years or more. Check the motor mounts too, engine seemed to rotate a lot on engine start.

Great detail work to clean that interior. How many times did you have to empty that shampooer tank? A brake fluid flush and diff fluid change would also be helpful. A BG engine flush service would help that engine since I bet it's gummy inside. There seems to be a lot of engine movement during cranking, perhaps new motor mounts are needed? And rear hatch struts? Great work on that carb fix and all those maintenance items. I like the time lapses for the work you do.
My friend had a Suzuki Sidekick which was the Suzuki version of this. We got 4 speeding tickets in that thing. By contrast, later I had a Mustang and he had the last gen Probe, both were new cars, and we never got any tickets in those. But that 93hp jalopy...4!

One of my favorite projects for sure. I'm sure it has ethenol fuel in it. im sure once it gets driven and you get a couple of tanks of gas ran through, it should run better. Think she deserves some plugs and wires as well, maybe some shocks and suspension stuff. What a cool little suv. Bet it's like the midget and doesnt like highways all that well.
I drained the gas first thing and put in fresh fuel
@MonkeyWrenchMike i remember that now. I even watched you do it lol. Hopefully, plugs and wires fix it. Migjt be worth running a compression check and block test just tp verify its not the head gasket. Even if if its that you can have the head off quick you did most of the work just putting the intake back on.

Once you put her all back together, oil/ transmission fluid changed and new filter she will start up and run like brand new.🙂👍
