Tyler Schwartz Dance been irish dancing for ten years but took about a year break for exams and stuff , your videos have really helped to get me back into dancing !! thanks again !!
Maybe pad the ceiling with something soft! Edit: just watched video through whilst trying it out. Kind got it but clumsily. Another great tutorial, mate! Would like to see variations. Cool stuff cos though I wasn't into soft shoe stuff! (It was the noise of hard shoe that got me into ID).
@@TylerSchwartzDance Cool, thanks! :D We also have a movement that's called the equivalent of "the one that changes its mind" in our language. :P Looking forward to the switching one video! :)
You’re such an absolute gem of a human being ❤️ And thank you for sharing your tricks 😁
I appreciate that!! And I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the videos! 😊

Yay! Skater spins! Thanks for breaking this down.
You're very welcome!
Skater turns! My all time favourite dance move in lights x it always comes around in my slip jigs ❤️
They’re one of my faves as well! 😊
I love watching figure skating, and I have noticed a lot of figure skating references. This video is awesome, and thank you for this.
You’re very welcome! Hopefully this helps 😁
Thank you for showing left and right turns. I turn to the left naturally, and I need to turn both directions in my dancing. Thanks!😊
You’re welcome! It’s always good to practice something off both feet for balance!
We never had spins like these in our choreography when I was competing a million years ago, so it’s time to learn.
You bet! Hope the tutorial went well!
literal lifesaver in quarantine my dude THANK YOU
You're very welcome! Happy to share!

Thank you Tyler teacher for your teaching & sharing. video
I finally jumped and rotated without falling too much
That’s great!!
Thanks for the videos! In Utah, we call it an axel (maybe because it’s a forward jump like the axel in figure skating).
I’ve never heard that one before! Totally makes sense with the figure skating reference!
I love watching figure skating, and that does make sense with the forward axel takeoff.
Can you do a video for flexed feet and switching feet spins??
Sounds like a great idea! Thanks!
Super helpful, thank you!! I'd love to see a video on improving leaps!
You're welcome! And it's definitely in the works, keep an eye out for it!
thank yooou

You bet! When I first started out I enjoyed the soft shoe most, but gradually fell in love with the hard shoe rhythms 👍🏻
We call this a screw, but I really like the pencil idea. Could you show the one you mentioned, with the feet flexed and switching? Thanks! 😊
Totally understand why you’d call it a screw! Hadn’t heard that one before! And we may just have to make a vid on the switching spin 😜

Thank you I’m new to Irish dance and I’m getting my first shoes💞💞 but I can’t go to my nearby academy because of covid😔
Happy to share! Hopefully the studio opens soon!
Anyone have any tips on how to prevent nausea while doing this?
Is It normal for a beginner?????😦
I would say this trick is geared more towards the intermediate to advanced level!
Nooo! I can' t believe It!!!! I tried to do this....l fell ti the ground!!!!!!! 😣😣😣
Oh no! Be sure to always get a good warmup in before practicing, so that your legs are ready for the jumps!
